The fight with the skeletons is IMO one of the greatest moments in cinema history, and certainly one of the best in stop motion, even by Ray's always high standards. My worry for the skeleton was that it's a difficult one to get right as a larger figure, but I needn't have worried as this is the top quality you expect from Star Ace Toys. These never disappoint.

I think it is fantastic what you guys at the foundation and Star Ace are doing. As a young child Rays films captivated me like nothing else, I had no idea at the time who Ray Harryhausen was or that all the films I loved were created by him. I remember sitting in front of the TV on Saturday afternoons while my mum pottered around the house, usually some cowboy film or something in the background while i played with my toys, I wasn't really interested in anything the TV had to offer. But occasionally a film would come on that stopped me in my tracks, the epic music, the whole thing just had a magical feel from the second it started. Whether it was Sinbad or Jason, I was fixated.
By the time Clash Of The Titans came out I was old enough to be aware of the hype, I remember seeing it advertised everywhere, even on Monster Munch crisp packets! I don't ever remember wanting to see a film so much as Clash Of The Titans. And when I finally got to see it, i was blown away! And I still had no idea that it was created by the same man responsible for the Sinbad and Jason films. Talos, the harpies and the children of the hydras teeth were both terrifying and fascinating for me, I was hooked. The Cyclops, Troglodyte and Sabre tooth tiger from the Sinbad films and Pegasus, Bubo, Kraken and Medusa From Clash Of The Titans.
All of Rays creatures had a life of their own, the way they moved was like nothing else. When I finally discovered that Ray Harryhausen was the man responsible for all of these creatures and films I was shocked and humbled. Shocked that I had never realised (It was an "Oh wow!...Of course!" moment). And humbled that one man could bring so much happiness to a child's life, His films inspired a sense of adventure in me that has remained with me my entire life.
Thank you for keeping Ray's magical creations alive.

I´m so happy that there are such realistic looking, great figures from Ray Harryhausen out there now. It actually gives you an extra dose of nostalgia when you have physical products like those figures in your shelf at home that can look at and touch. So a very BIG THANK YOU to everyone that have been engaged to this beautiful idea to produce the figures!
I´m from Germany and a very big fan since I´ve seen the movies with my parents when I was a kid. So the Star Ace figure are a MUST HAVE for me hehe :) I really hope they will release the Wooden Woman and Calibos as well.

I've been concerned about just how the skeletons face would look in this line of figures. A lot of previous Harryhausen skeleton releases just did not have the "correct" likeness that Rays skeletons had. This one looks scarily close to being 100%. Thanks for the review!

To me, this was a strange fight in many ways. Even the way when the bones were thrown on the ground to hatch the skeletons. I thought the fight was framed a split second past the movements of the actors. Maybe an oversight or maybe used to make them look slower. The story of Jason and the Argonauts is a great piece to read in Greek Lore.
