Every time I see the crew, pulling on a pint of what looks like some very good beer, I miss Eugene Oregon, where in the 80's they had some awesome Brewpubs with great local beer...
Does anyone know if this is the area of where Sir Nicholas Manley Knight of Poulton would have lived? I am looking for the area and am believing it might be the place. Thank you.
I seem to remember one episode where there was supposed to be construction work starting the next week so it made sense. I don't think it really makes it more interesting. Comes across as gimmicky. There are shorter documentaries covering more time than these do.
I love this show! Rest in peace Mick Aston ❤️🙏🏼
It’s always so nice to see Professor Aston’s passion for monastic sites! A really niche but fascinating subject.
Seems this show is keeping archaeology alive in old GB. I'm inspired - young adults about uncovering and preserving history.
This is old footage , mick is dead now and the show was wound up. Its undergoing a resurgent lately, but this would be considered the golden years.
Still a wonderful video, thank you so much . 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
My neighbours in Auckland New Zealand are called Poulton, wow!

There’s sooo much history just under lawns!

You have to drink every time someone says the word "trench"
Thanks.

Why do they only ever have three days to find out?
That was the hook for the show. Keeping it to three days raises some tension, and allows them to do a show that could be presented in an hour.
Because all of them had regular jobs they had to go back to on Monday.
@@joannevanrens5501 lol.
Also economics. More days more money needed

I think it would help your process if the team utilized drone imagery! And if you are looking for one I formally volunteer as a trained candidate!
(Drones are much cheaper then helicopters)
how modern do you this programme is.
most of then work so they can get the occasional Friday off plus the weekend....thats a guess.
When did Ozzie Osbourne join The Time Team? 🤣
