This spot, Borders, St. Elizabeth is one of my favorite spots in Jamaica. It’s a place where you can get some local food freshly made everyday. The local are friendly and the food is good.
Borders is located on the border of Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth on the A2 which is south coast coastal highway. It’s actually not too far from my childhood home of Carisbrook or the nearby Holland Bamboo.
If you are already in the region you can take the drive. Just use a service like Google Maps for directions.

Best fish and bammy stopped by there on my way to Round hill was just there in January. It was delicious!
I don't think anyone can disagree that Jamaica is a beautiful blessed Island. However the problem is that the local people there are killing off returning residents. You can't even imagine what it's like being a Jamaican that have lived abroad for decades and wanting to return home and retire or just have a simple quiet life but have to fear of losing their life because they have lived outside the country and wanted to return back home. It's very disheartening.
In general when a returning resident is killed it is usually due to some kind of mixup not random
Yes indeed Border fish is very nice. I always buy my fish from Gloria whenever I am going home to my parish. She is a nice, clean, friendly lady.

Shan zen I was going to ask you if you would do a video showcasing Border. I am so glad you did this video. I love it. Border has the best bammy and fish. I visited Jamaica in August 2019 and so much bammy and fish everyday. I had plans to spend Christmas 2020 in Jamaica but unfortunately COVID happened. The fish and bammy is definitely a hit everytime.

I don’t like the way how they use there hand and not even have the mask over there mouth when u are handling food u supposed to wear gloves otherwise from that they always have good fish
You @paulettemctaggart7724, that’s my mom one, two did she handle anything else with her hands 🙌🏿, when she was touching zen zen fish 🐠??, and for you information after my mom finish with those fish she wash her hands, I know that for a fact, because she just handle pepper 🌶️ and that pepper sauce is very hot, ok ,,,,,

It is not all that. I was there in 2018. The nanny had I taste. They gave me the raw bammy. Fish need more seasoning. I was disappointed.

Health Inspectors need to visit these people.They cant be handling the foods without proper gears.Dont know if anyone was watching the lady taking off what she had use to tie the fish.
So true and I think they also handle the money at the same time when you pay for the food. That certainly needs to be corrected.
