Thanks! This looks like it is going to save me a lot of time. I appreciate the clear demonstration.

Would you think it is possible to automate the updating process from Excel to Google Maps? So when I add a location in Excel that it would automatically add this into Maps aswell?

Thank you! I'm trying to figure out how to use Google Sheets (or CSV) to import LINES using To / From addresses (or placenames). I can do it directly for driving within countries ('directions') but not for flights. The aim is to have a "Route Lines" layer in my map.

Can I upload data in bulk from a spreadsheet into a data table in google my maps? Not one field at a time. Working with a KMZ file that doesn't have spreadsheet data and looking to add data to the areas highlighted in the KMZ file from a separate spreadsheet. The only way I can see to do it currently is to go cell by cell. Not nice since I have 10 columns and 255 rows...

Good question. I haven't tried to import a KMZ to Google My Maps with a lot of data. Is it possible to convert your KMZ to a CSV then try to import as a spreadsheet?
Try to see if the My Maps support forum has some answers:

Wicky Design, the company I work for uses Google My Maps all the time and our sales reps upload all of their prospect accounts, but recently they are having issues when trying to upload. Any troubleshooting you could provide?

Hi! great video - thank you! quick question - In the future, I'll be adding more locations. Is there an easy way to do that? Can I add them to the original CVS file and if so, will they automatically be incorporated into the map? And then... if the map is updated - will it automatically update on my website or do I need to embed a new code??? So many questions!! Thanks - Tina

      Thanks for watching!
You will need to do a fresh import of your updated CVS data and remove the old layer.
After you make any edits to your map it will automatically be updated on your website. There might be a 5 minute delay or so but it will update automatically.

My my maps "reacts" differently than what you show here. ... and I mean
in many places. I imported from a csv, but the name, add., tel., etc.
information for each point is shown in a sliding panel on the left, and in the csv-text format with everything pushed together with commas, and not in the middle of the map.

Is it possible to update the data in Google sheets and have it auto populate on my maps. (***without having to re upload that data again***)?

Good question. I don't think that's possible inside Google My Maps. You should be able to pull this off creating a custom JavaScript Google Map.

I found this help forum (support.google.com/maps/thread/26225991/importing-from-csv-file-and-getting-icons-to-import?hl=en). Try to convert the file to KML and see if that works.
