Is it something common to see 53mm sized pf on La Spaziale machines? By far the best espresso I've had was on the cuisine school restaurant on my college, which always got me surprise about doing great espresso, since no other cafe I've visited did the same results, should it be actually related to the forgiveness of a 53mm deeper basket?
We would probably recommend getting the direct plumb version if you're going to use it in a café: clivecoffee.com/products/direct-plumb-lucca-a53-espresso-machine-by-la-spaziale
As mentioned in the video, the shot timer is an optional add-on. That said if you want one, you can still pick one up. They're quite simple to install! clivecoffee.com/products/luminaire-automatic-add-on-shot-timer - Charles
It would be the absolute bare minimum that I would consider. I would check out the Lucca A53 Direct Plumb version. Using that with a Flojet pump and a 5 gallon water jug is the better choice: clivecoffee.com/products/direct-plumb-lucca-a53-espresso-machine-by-la-spaziale?variant=40161166131288
For a small cafe, we'd recommend going with its bigger sibling, the direct plumb LUCCA A53, primarily for the much greater steam power. Further, having a direct plumbed machine in your shop will save you loads of time since you won't have a reservoir to refill. clivecoffee.com/products/direct-plumb-lucca-a53-espresso-machine-by-la-spaziale We do sometimes recommend the A53 Mini for coffee carts since its portability makes it quite handy in those scenarios. Even then, you can always pair the A53 with an external reservoir and a flojet for even more efficiency. - Charles
@@Porsche993-j6k I'm guessing because 58mm is the standard size that almost every espresso machine uses, so finding accessories such as other portafilters, tampers, distributers, etc can be a little more challenging.
Expensive for plastic sides. Yes, can upgrade to wood, but for a lot more money. Would be nice to see metal sides as a more reasonable upgrade. Say $50 more over the plastic.

Great videos! How do you descale the Lucca A53 without the tank? Also how does the drain work (remove for cleaning, etc.)
how'd that spill at 1:45 make it into final edit 😂
does it has a mirror to actually alow you to conveniently see the bottumless portafilter from underneath?
It doesn't come with one, but we do sell this one: clivecoffee.com/products/lucca-a53-shot-mirror. There are other options on Etsy as well.
where did you get that tamper/ distributor for a 53mm basket?
Great video! Lucca A53 is an amazing machine.
Is Charles still with Clive? Great content as always!
Can this be used for a small cafe? 100-150 cups a day?
Planning to get this from your shop

Where you get the wooden finished tamper and distributor for 58mm basket
Which shade of wood is this? Mahogany? Also, what is the start-up time for this machine?
Just got one, and love it, however mine does not have the shot timer??? Should it have?

The 53mm is kinda of a drag for me
Why

And looks good doing it...
This machine looks sexy, but that frothing pitcher’s even sexier! What kind is it?

I have the hots for Charles sorry
