We will be making a series of headphone/earphone audition videos to help you find your best sound, and possibly save you some money from blind buying. If there is any IEM/Headphone/TWS buds that you wish to hear, subscribe and leave a comment! We also plan to include DAPs, Amps, DACs and cables comparison in future videos.
All tracks are recorded using professional artificial ears and compensated by the Harman Target 2019 (2018 for for Around-ear/On-ear), so using an earphone/headphone that sticks to the target curve (for example the AKG N5005) will reflect a more precise result. Video can be used to compare the general timbre of headphones, but what you hear WILL NOT sound exactly the same to the real products due to different playback devices used, and inevitable distortion during recording process.
Thanks for this video! Great to "demo" IEMs this way for people that can't test them in person.

Unique Melody's demos sounded shocking bad at first. After realizing I should try to follow the instructions in this video, I switched to the most technical Harman IEM I had. Mason FS NE and Multiverse Mentor sound much better now (I think these have thicker sound so you really need to follow the video instructions and use a highly technical set to represent them).
First track Mason FS NE impressed me the most with timbre and depth, then Multiverse Mentor and Fei Wan. 622B sounded flatter despite pushing back cymbals feeling like it can't give a masterclass for this genre with many instruments and hall space.
Second track Traillii Ti seemed better, maybe Onyx was interesting but not enough to compare. All others did well too.
Third track they were all good but when the electronic beats and layers come in, Multiverse Mentor sounded more layered, enveloping and smooth.
For more standout female vocals, Traillii Ti would be my pick followed by Erebus/622B/Fei Wan/Jewel. Traillii Ti sounds more musical in its presentation with more balanced emphasis on different instruments.
For soundstage, layering, and thickness, Mason FS NE, then Multiverse Mentor.
For electronic, bass and layering, Multiverse Mentor has that warm envelopy smooth feeling.
For treble, Fei Wan, Anni2023 sounds interesting, but Mason FS NE sounds refined and Multiverse Mentor is very good.
My top 4: If I had to pick (atm), Traillii Ti for airy vocals/ballads, Mason FS NE for general, Multiverse Mentor for anything busy/layered with bass/lower-mids, then finally Fei Wan for some oomph.
Traillii Ti is more suitable for my genres, but after hearing Mason FS NE, dang I want it.
CANPUR 622B IS AMAZING!
Jewel remains king of analog smooth but highly technical, the garbage cable handicaps it big time. It has a smooth, natural realness that others cant seem to copy. Been asking for a Fei Wan demo from MT for ages, nothing. Thank you for this, if this is close to accurate, this is the best review format I've ever seen. Trailli Ti also sounds fantastic.
Being Meta is listening to this with a pair of Fei Wans haha
Also, would love to see a part 2 with the EE Raven, VE10, Fir Radon 6, etc.
Raven is glorious. Much prefer it to my Annihilator 2023.

Why is Mason this expensive when it doesn't keep up with the rest?
Most likely, it's because your speaker is incapable of producing the richness of the actual sound. I have demoed all of them and also listened to this video using high-end neutral iems. They are all amazing.
my canpur 622b arrives in 4 days, exicited! anni sounds so good. unique melodies are just meh

@@andyliao1086 it has become my high-end reference iem. Haven’t been able to find anything better than the 622 yet. Yes, but also no about the video. Yes the video is able to give a taste of that precision, accuracy. After some tip rolling it sounded much better, of course I also have an after market cable for the 622, the eletech one comes with the iem is very mid.

@@andyliao1086 我感覺其實622還是蠻適合盲狙的，我自己就是。但還是推薦先試聽。622的優秀之處在於音色非常準，定位也非常準，低音的設計尤其出色。 我第一耳朵聽上去說實話是有些小失望，因為沒有給我帶來太多震撼。是在之後我耐心更換線材和耳塞套取得了非常好的效果。這個真的不算hype，是真的很不錯。

Anyways, recently, there is an article in head fi, comparing 2 of the TOTL iems, the fatfreq grand maestro and 622B, he originally had Fatfreq as his #1 pick, but he also indicates that if you would EQ the 622b, it tops the fatfreq.
