My heart hurts for Hosea. It also breaks knowing that I’ve not been faithful to the Lord. And it rests in the grace and mercy of a loving Father.

Amazed how God loves us even in our worst times- “come back to me”- so humbled, so loved and so many do not see His love. I need to show His love to others ❤️
Our God's faithfulness and love are mind blowing. His heart breaks for us and pursues us. May our hearts yearn for His love and faithfulnessin turn. He is good all the time.

Through all of the judgment proclaimed by Hosea, there still is hope for the people and God promises He will heal them and bind their wounds (Hosea 6:1).
Aloha, praise the Lord and good morning BR family. Another great day of reading God's words. I think sometimes, God challenges us to see how much faith and trust we have in him. None of us without sin; however, our God is a loving, compassionate and forgiver of sins. He is where the JOY is!!!🙏
I am so thankful that God allows us to know the whole story! He is gracious and merciful even when we stray. In the end He carries us through. May God give us the faith to seek Him with all of our heart.
Thank you God for redeeming us and forgiving us for our sins. You are where the joy is. 🙌🏽

This was so good. I loved the poetry and the passion with which God expressed his feelings for us despite how we dishonor him. 😫❤
God wants a true, heartfelt, loving, and humble relationship with us. He longs for it. But we, His people are like an adultress, hurting our God and seeking what we think will be pleasing to us in the world. Nothing in the world will give us the JOY that comes with a true, devotion to God. He wants that more than we can ever fathom. I can hear His pain of rejection in this passage.
"Woe to them, because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them but they speak about me falsely. They do not cry out to me from their hearts but wail on their beds. They slash themselves, appealing to their gods for grain and new wine, but they turn away from me."
Hosea 7:13-14 NIV
God, keep me devoted to You, and You alone. You are a loving, loyal God. Let your example be the one that I follow and seek.
God shot: Hosea 6:6 "For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. " TLC has taught me that He wants our love, not our "deeds". ❤
The scripture of Hosea hit me. This is my second time through the TLC Bible series and all of a sudden, im dragging my feet to turn in each day. My guilt pushes me to get into the scripture. Lord, i need a renewal of my spirit. Forgive my not striving to keep my relationship with you. 😢
I'm praying for you. I can so feel your pain. This is my 3rd trip through & I found myself a couple of days behind. I let other things take priority. I know that this "guilt" is the Holy Spirit convicting me. I'm so thankful for this conviction. I know that God is still drawing me closer to Him! What Joy! To steal a phrase...He's where the Joy is! 😊🤗🙏🏻
I was several weeks "behind", and started up again and really I'm right on time. It is hard to read many things in this book. God doesn't need me to read His word, I need to read His word to know Him, and to know Him - yada, and if it takes 14 months so be it. The Bible is a book to be read over and over and over your entire life. It is always fresh for what God needs you need to know. God loves you even as He knows you.❤❤❤

God is the Husband, or in Medieval English, the “Husbandman” of His people. He is the God of “Jezreel” because “He will again plant His people in their land” (Hosea 1:11). There is something in our hearts, that when we don’t pursue the intimate knowledge of God as a wife loves her husband, our hearts naturally grow into “thorn bushes” (Hosea 2:6). We become overrun with weeds and godless desires. But God plants (“Jezreel”), as the old term “husbandman” means “to till, to cultivate.” When we yield to His love, He uproots the weeds and habits that choke out love for Him, and He plants a growing passion for Himself. He then says, “I will make you my wife forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion. I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as the Lord.”
(Hosea 2:19-20)
Thank You God for meeting us all right where we are. Open our eyes so we can see you.
I'm a couple days behind but this has been exactly what I needed. I love seeing dew in the morning. It's like magic! So beautiful and simple is seeing Jesus in Hosea. He is the Dew. When the conditions of our hearts are right....He appears just as the dew!
Hosea 2:23 KJV
[23] And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
Hosea 4:6 KJV
[6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
He's Where The Joy Is 😭😭😭😭
I saw a Jesus in this reading. When God tells Hosea to take back his sinful wife and pay all her debts. Despite the ways in which we have failed God, he sent his son Jesus to pay our debts and bring us back home ❤
