Ok Tara…man did I need to hear that I can’t disappoint my Lord… that thought stops me all the time to continue in my walk…So I continue I’m 3 days behind but I’ll catch up by tonight… thank you for all you do…
Some of my favorite chapters from the Bible here. Isaiah. Poetically beautiful, hopeful and encouraging in these chapters. So much rich description of God's light shining through us in the darkness.
Following God and understanding His nature better is both comforting, and hard. When you’ve lost a loved one, it is both good and difficult to know that God Himself says that “Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But…no one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come” (Is 57:1). Sheldon Vanauken calls this “A Severe Mercy.” God feels our cold tears of grief, and at the same time, reassures us that He does have good plans, for “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, and My ways are far beyond anything you can imagine” (Is 55:8). There’s a curious relationship in following God between grief, and trust, and awe, and peace of heart. His word, like the seeds of grief, “will always produce fruit” and will “accomplish all I want it to” (Is 55:11). This is why we “will live in joy and peace” (Is 55:12).
We all experience grief in our lives, but I know that God used grief to bring me to Him in a deeper way six years ago. I find these verses so comforting! Thanks for sharing your insights.
Thank you TLC so well said brought tears to my eyes. God is always forgiving past present and future. I promise and try not to sin but I still do and then run to Our Lord and ask for forgiveness. Because he is a forgiving God!✝️
I was so happy to hear that God is not disappointed in me, and I know my sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. My problem is I am disappointed in myself for my sins past and present and I have a hard time not regretting all the wrong things I have done, even though I am forgiven.
Thank you Tara Leigh for all you do. Today’s lesson was an amazing one, just to know that God is a forgiving God and has already forgave our sins. Have a nice day.
“Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.” Isaiah 57:1-2 NLT Love this verse, even in death, God gives us eternal life and peace. God Bless y’all.
All throughout Isaiah 58, God asks us to serve others, to show them the love and compassion that Jesus is our example of how we are to serve the disabled, the blind, the hungry, the naked and the wicked. God doesn't need our fasting or acts of obedience if our heart is not soft and compassionate. God wants us to be acting as Jesus did. "Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter- when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?" Isaiah 58:7 NIV God soften my heart, mold me into the humble, loving person I am ment to be so that I may serve you and all your children and bring the message of You and your Love to others.
-Aloha, praise the Lord, and good morning BR family. Glory be to God for another day reading and understanding God's reminding us just how great out God is. Psalm 42:1, "As the deer pants for the water brooks, my soul thirsts for God, for the living God". He is where the JOY is!!!
Day 211 Isaiah 54-58 Chapter 54 God promises a blessing to Israel. He says He will enlarge their family and it will include people from all over the world. Even their enemies. It is nothing to fear. He shows them they are a bride and presents Himself as a husband who redeems them. He reminded the people of what Noah and his family went through with the flood. Initially there was devastation and loss. But ultimately God protected His people through trial. God promises and has steadfast love and compassion. He will not wipe them out. He promises them security. He promises to teach all their children. God the Spirit teaches us Himself. He teaches our children. Chapter 55 God promises to feed His people for free. The food of salvation, the feast of eternity. Rev. 22:17 let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who is thirsty take the water of life without price. 55:3 - Gods covenant with Israel. The people broke the covenant. But God said He wasn’t going anywhere. He was going to stay with them. He was keeping His covenant. He calls them to a change of action and thinking. God says He has good plans for His people and He finishes what He starts. What God initiates, He will sustain and fulfill. God will restore the earth back to its former glory before the fall of man and entrance of sin. Even taking away the thorns. This is especially touching due to Jesus had a crown of thorns shoved into His head. Chapter 56- God has included the foreigner and eunch in His family. He gives them a name better than sons and daughters. He talks to the rulers and people and tells them they are called to put away idols. Underneath the worship of false gods is a distrust in the true God. Fear of man leads to forgetfulness of God. God wants their hearts and not their fasting and sacrifices which come with empty hearts. God draws meats to sinners to help them. Isaiah 57:15 God dwells in the high and holy places and also with him who has a contrite and lonely spirit. The most high God is with the lowly. He revives their hearts. God says He has seen all our ways and yet He will heal us. He doesn’t run from our sin but runs near to help. Religion is: I messed up my dad is going to kill me. Sonship is: I messed up I need to call my dad! Where do I go with my sin? Do I run from God or to Him? Jesus Christ absorbed all the fathers wrath for His kids. There is no wrath left for you. God is not disappointed in you. Disappointment is a result of unmet expectation. He knows exactly what we are.He is outside of time. You can’t let God down. His heart is for you.
Hello Family ❤ chapter 54 spoke to me could not choose just one God Shot thank you TLC and TBR team 💯 have a blessed day in His Presence ❤️🤗 He's where the Joy is 💯❤️
I know I am behind schedule with everyone else, but had to comment. So many God shots today! God’s thoughts and ways are so above ours! He makes a covenant with all people! For those that are grieving the loss of a loved one; Isaiah 57:1-2
Does it mean that once I'm saved I'm forever saved? Does it mean I don't have to do anything else to secure my salvation? Romans 6:1-2 KJV [1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Galatians 6:7 NKJV [7] Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Here's My Conclusion: Once you're saved, there's a possibility of losing your salvation if you don't follow and keep following the one who died on the cross and rose up the 3rd day. And there are lots of responsibilities that comes with following Jesus Christ. I think the answer to the question of "if once saved are you forever saved"? is in the parable Jesus told about THE TEN VIRGINS 5 were wise 5 were foolish
@JoshuaOAdesiyan, if we could lose our salvation, that would mean that Christ’s work on the cross was incomplete or inadequate. And we know that it is complete. Praise God, He said, “It is finished.”(John 19:30) Here is something that is really important to hold on to: we can’t live the Christian life in our own strength. We just can’t. It’s Christ living in and through us. Don’t live in the bondage of worry over losing your salvation. Jesus said that when we are His, we can’t be taken from Him. (John 10:28). If you’ve placed your faith in Christ and you belong to Him, live in that freedom! (John 8:36). “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1)
@@amypridgen6382 So you mean once I'm saved I don't have to follow Jesus and I'll still make it to heaven? You mean once I'm saved even though I intentionally continue in my sins I can still make it to heaven? What then is the benefits of my salvation?

I was so happy to hear that God is not disappointed in me, and I know my sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. My problem is I am disappointed in myself for my sins past and present and I have a hard time not regretting all the wrong things I have done, even though I am forgiven.
