I bought the game for switch a bit ago, and when I first started I didn't even get to playing for a full 10 minutes because I was vibing so much to this theme
I've heard people say they want Zelda's Lullaby to play at their weddings...but I just realized would love to walk down the aisle to this piece. This specific arrangement. It is the epitome of beauty.
When I first opened up skyward sword hd on my switch I was stunned by this song. I didn’t even want to start the game because I knew that I couldn’t listen to this song.
@Zephyr16 It's because an entire orchestra, played in a format other than MIDI, has a very large file size. You could imagine for masterpieces of gaming, like The Zelda series, this could be a slight problem.
well, basically Link & Zelda fighting against Ganon and others is a never ending story as Demise said, and they are forced to do it because "destiny" so that's kinda sad if you think about it.
Why doesn’t BotW have the Fairy Fountain Song on the start screen? It’s bothering me so much, they’ve done it for every Zelda game since Alttp. Feels like the game misses something important.
@@JCDR68 sadly I have to agree with you. While it was still a really great game, I hope the sequel feels more "zelda"... we need traditional dungeons back, a proper story... dont let botw be how zelda games are now.
Well the silence absolutely gives you a feel of what the game is going to be like. It's a world in were everything man made has died or worn out, and nature resides. It doesn't have the same loud Zelda theme every other Zelda game has because the game is supposed to give you that feeling. Notice how the music in BotW is mostly replaced by a piano, and a soft orchestra. The only time there's loud music is when there's a boss. I feel like the fact that there's no music in BotW's title screen gives you the feeling of emptiness; that something is clearly wrong.
@@GearoxButaBox I think that’s exactly the point. BOTW isn’t just another Zelda game and that made it great. But I also agree with the guys above saying the sequel should take BOTW and mix it with that traditional Zelda music, style, and charm.
@@iReiGNxx I agree, it fits the mood of the first one. Now that Hyrule has been ‘reestablished’ I feel like traditional Zelda-style music can be introduced in the sequel. Hopefully it’s the same composers expanding on what themes they’ve done for the first, it would be such a good detail.
What? There are so many old songs that I really really love, songs over 20 years old and some even further. I feel that songs get better as time goes on, not worse...
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..." - Sheik

A *bit* late but I AGREE, I have nostalgia for a lot of the versions of this song but none of them make me feel the way this one does, the violins and harps melody with each other is just MMMM

This song for "File Select" hasn't changed for 20 years since A Link to the Past! It is so addictive to listen to! I wish the NES games had an official 8-bit rendition for this song!
I was disappointed not to hear it in Breath of the Wild, but at the same time if fits the game very well. I'll hope we'll hear it in the next Zelda game, that would be very nice !
@@emym.8828 Yeah, botw is a lot more chill and the music is a lot more ambient. Some of it is really nice, like the tower theme, rito village, or whatever plays at mountain peaks and high locations. But having an actual soundtrack would be cool too. Hopefully the music in the sequel will be a lot more prevalent and not hide in the background as much.
Rarely does music send chills through my spine, but this.....this is simply incredible. This is divine, this is magnificent. The arrangement of instruments, the crescendos and diminuendos, the beautiful legatos. It all moulds rogether to create a piece of sheer beauty. This sounds like something that you would hear upon entering heaven.
a lot of sources say that Link is mute and can't talk, but this game proves that those claims are pure bullshit. Link can talk, in this game Link has dialog options. how could Groose be offended by Link's comments on his hair if he were mute? how could Link comment on Groose's hair if he can't talk, there are other dialog options in this game as well. he even had dialog options in OOT and more recently ALBW. basically Link can talk, we're just the only ones who can't hear him speak, and what he says is left to our imaginations
To me, this gives the sense of a new adventure while also having the feeling that you're going back to the past for the game. It also is a million times more beautiful and soothing once the game is complete.
