I have one of these style harness for home workouts. I am not able to have a squat rack in my condo, so I use this type of harness with independent squat stands and do zerchers. You can bail out safely by leaning forward and dumping the bar. I put Fat Gripz on the pins to prevent metal on metal with the bar.

I actually put the bar on the very top pegs right under my chin most of the time. My only issues are that you do have to hold the pegs together or it can slide apart on your shoulders, and that if you want to wear a belt, the harness is just short enough that it pinches my abdomen between it and the belt.
This is sick, I'm going to get one! I've been lifting for over 10 years and I've always avoided front squats. Not anymore! Front squats are better for football and rugby too 😎💪🏻
@gregen hersu it definitely feels uncomfortable and overtime can bruise the adductors pretty good. I will say though that this product is one of the greatest inventions ever made! You can do so much with the harness. I found that if you place a thick squat pad underneath the harness it does not make as much contact to your inner thighs.

Damn man that actually seems like an awesome piece of equipment! You can do lots of variations with it too to build some huge legs. I can imagine it draws lots of attention at the gym but who cares lol.
Wow that's so heavy, and bulky. how hard would it be to simply create a back cross cross harness and then add 2 hooks in front. We don't mind it resting on the clavicle.
This two sharp edges at the bottom of the harness will cut into your thighs. Someone should make one with non-sharp edges on the bottom, I believe that would sell well.
ivegot one of these harness's guys, just one question do you include the weight of the harness as part of the weight that you are lifting? my harness is a medium and weighs 5.5kgs
dildo baggins well think of it like this, if one bar has the weight of 45 pounds, and another 20, you use less plates on the 45 pound bar for your max right? Weight is weight
After doing extensive research, I cannot buy/source one of these genuine 'GS' models here in the UK - unless anyone else can help? Anyway, ordered one from Amazon.co.uk - looks OK and won't be going too heavy! I cannot front squat at all, must be a funny shape - can't wait try this out! Great tutorial - thanks!

Unfortunately it does. Would have been better if it was a big shorter.

Can you do back squats with this? I have a shoulder issue that prevent me from getting my left hand behind my body to hold the bar.
