    Recently I sustained injury to my left upper arm and elbow, and I also have tennis elbow on both arms since last year. I was searching for some straps that helps me able to workout with less strain on my arms. I am glad I found your video. I'm in Canada so it will cost me quite a bit, but I'm gonna try this harness!!!

    I have a trap bar and I never would have thought to use it this way. Thanks!

    Thanks Mike, you saved me $27 on the Squat Harness Premium V3 harness. I settled on the V3 instead of the Squat Harness Premium Adjustable for the added features of the chest buckles per your suggestion and the sliding attachments. The hooks are an added bonus. The Original seems to put the fixed location of the attachment rings forward of the underarms, and the Adjustable allows some adjustment of the location of the fixed attachment rings by adjusting the size of the arm loops, but the V3 allows complete freedom of movement of the attachments no matter the arm loop size. I guess you can hang carabiners on the Original and Adjustable arm loops but it might dig into the sides. I didn't wait for the yet unreleased Harness X as it appears that it does not have hand loops.

      Thanks Syndney for the support and using the code. Yes, I do think the V3 is the best version, although I haven't tried the X yet. But you're right the v3 has some pros over the new version as well.

      Hi Sydneybird116,
      Thank you for sharing your feedback about The Squat Harness V3. Just for reference sake, the Squat Harness X will include the loop handles after all; they just weren’t included in the preview video. We’re still waiting for it to arrive, and the jury is still out about which one will be the ultimate squat harness!

    Great video! You just keep producing great content. I had relegated my trap bar to be for farmer carries only. My grip strength was not great enough for heavy squats. Then you come along with the harness. Genius. I have a squat rack, but at 64 I was looking for a safer option. But, getting under a heavy band has been quite the challenge. Now you gave me this option. Also, although I like band/board/bar deadlifts, I have gone back to the barbell for deadlifts and noticed a 20-30% strength reduction; darn. At least with these two options I don't need my squat rack taking up space.

      Thank you so much my friend for the positive comments. Very happy found some use out of the video. I noticed the same thing with my deadlifts when I had a long hiatus with band deadlifts.

      @@hybridresistance Thinking more about my perceived 20% strength reduction with bands versus barbell for deadlift, that is not really correct. Who knows, maybe I am pulling heavier at the top than what I could with the barbell. So maybe in two months of bands only I got deconditioned in the early part of the deadlift but more conditioned at the top. I'm not sure that I like that since picking up a box from the ground is more like the barbell, but of course I am not picking up 250 lb boxes. That is probably a testament for rotating in and out of barbell and band variations because they are just different, not exclusionary. I'm talking as a 64 yo who just wants to function better.

    Another reason to get the squat harness, got a trap bar already, mostly for deadlifts.

    Had both knees replaced and the trap bar has been tremendous in helping rehab and strengthen the legs especially being able to do farmer’s walks

    I've got a pulley system with two loading pins. I put plates on the pins, put a chain on them then I attach them to my "resistance band" bar which has hooks on the side with carabiners. I adjust the chains to the hight so I can go under the bar then I start the squat from the bottom position. I find it to be a lot safer than having a bar with plates on my back. And when my workout is done I put everything to the corner or under the sofa, so I don't need a big squat rack in my small apartment.

    I just bought your Squat Harness V3-Adjustable Workout Harness, but I don't see a way to connect it to my trap bar, which is similar to the one you show in this video. Is there an additional accessory that I need to buy that connects the harness hooks to the handles of the Trap bar? I see in your video some metal connectors/brackets that are wrapped around the trap bar handles. Where do I get those?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would just loop it around a few times and then just use the hook to latch on to the strap if that makes sense. He also sells these "loading straps" that are meant to compliment a bar as well.

    You do realize that both top and bottom handles are knurled…flip it upside down and the handles will be the same height as a regular barbell….range of motion less of an issue.

      I had more clips of the harness clipped at different spots, but edited out for the sake of time. Definitely though, you have a few options especially with the harness to get deeper in the range of motion.

    Definitely a better option for deadlifts. Much safer, gives you better positioning in my opinion. And as you said, you can fail safely. Love the content as always, god bless bro.

    I’d be worried those loops would slip forward or backward on the handle and create a sudden and severe imbalance.
