Depends. First of all, you need to have amplified speakers (or amplified sound card). Then, you just plug mixer cable on digital entry on the sound card and its done. The mixer is a BST digital. French brand. Not the best brand of all but is quite good (medium average)
My friend, the Numark axis 9 are very very sensible. Its good cause helps you to develope skills as a dj but makes it more dificult to mix. My advice,keep training like i do and you will see the diference. My other advice, calibrate the numark axis 9. For this, go to numark axis 9 page in the download section and download the calibrating firmware.Follow the instructions on the pdf and you will see better results on the bpm's. Havent posted new videos but i can assure that im better mixing now

I would not advice this to new learners cause its tricky, altought pratice every day and you will see results believe me. The software is firmware that you have to use to calibrate the cdj. It calibrates bpm to better acuracy and to stay more accurate. You can find and download it at numark website on the download section.

Anyway i have just ordered 2 Vestax CDX-05 . they look good to and they have build in effects . i was hesitating between the Stanton's 314 and the ones you have from Numark .But by searching the internet i have dicovered those Vestax one's they are good you should check out their gear on you tube . You can also take control of the cd player with your turntables if you have a little gadget that Tascam invented a few months ago .

hi. They play cd-r only. They do not play cd-rw or mp3... That means that you can burn cd.r and play them but they don't play re-writables or mp3. To play mp3 you have other cdj's but they cost a lot more... When i bought them, i thought that they played rw also... i was desapointed but attending to the price range, it a good buy.
I forgot another function. In numark axis 9 you have another thing called keylock. With this you can control the bpm's and keep it stable. this is also knowned in other cdj's as Master Tiempo. I don't usually use it cause i think its not pretty accurate but it helps a little. Read the manual to better understand the keylock function. :)
@singhboy101 I can´t scratch... but you can use the axis 9 to scratch... But nothing like real vinyl... and probably ttheres better material for scratching.

@djshamas This video was the second attempt/test that i made using the axis 9. Also not a pro lol. Been using axis 9 since a while but hadnt had the time to record more stuff on cam... only on audio. Pionner is better? yes, I think so 2 but remember... price/range is very good...

Hi Everyone hope you dont mind me asking but i have recently bought a pair of Axis 9 cdj's and they play bought cd's very well, the issue i have is playing recorded cd-r's as i know thats all you can use on the Axis-9 cdj's. Can anyone please help me with why i am experiencing this, Does anyone know the factory setting to the Potentiometer which is just inside the cd deck if you take apart with the drawer open you will see the lens and the potentiometer, the potentiometer turns fully 180 degrees from top to bottom. its just where to put it to read and play recorded cd-r's ? very confused as to why and could really do with some assitance as to get them playing recorded cd-rs preferably..!!! its a plastic card that when you wiggle it it creates a wobble sound.
prince range axis 9 are the best. if you have more money to spend i would advice something like pionner cdj 800 or 1000(mk2).
