As a lawn care business owner, and a guy who used to work at a small engine dealership. I myself would always go with honda everytime. Longevity, maintenance, easy start, power. In my years I've seen many more problems with briggs. Or as we used to call them in the shop breaks and scrapum.
Hahaha...have never heard that one, that's funny! Good input. I know back in the late 90s early 2000s that Breaks and Scrapum had a lot of issues. No problems yet with this one.
Enjoyed the video…. I would probably go Honda if the 180 turns are much easier…. The deck will never rust…. Probably get blades forever on the Hondas…. But striping is so cool!
@@29Turf if you don’t understand the issue is the plastic gear inside the honda engine gcvx gasoline diesel and oil engine is always made from petroleum and fact them three can melting the gear and after is fuck for everyone
I'm on team Masport, only being I hate tire marks from those skinny wheels. Four skinny wheels make ruts over time. Just wish the rotarola was 30" wide. I also like the big handle on the center of the bag.
You should always place the piston at TDC and flip mower with air filter facing up to avoid oil flooding issues. The way you did it is completely opposite and will cause engine oil to leak into your air filter and make a mess on the surface or grass.
Sorry about that. You are correct. They were up. But it’s important to place the piston at TDC. Below is a video link that explains how to set to TDC from a small engine mechanic. Enjoy your day. th-cam.com/video/eeEVigsVqrE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IS4-DgmG8Oo_uepo

Honda lawn mower engines are durable but there are other components on Honda lawn mowers that go bad and need replaced. I'm on my 5th Honda lawn mower the HRN216. My next mower will be a electric toro with personal pace.
@@29Turf I plan on buying a new electric mower next summer my lawn size is around a acre or so. My lawn mower repairman loves the toro personal pace system.
@@Marksmith2-qu6tl I have a lot of hours on the Honda. I do like it. I'm interested in how it's going to bag leaves. It seems to have a little deck blow out on the right side. But that might be because I don't have the bagger door all the way open.
I have a new Toro battery mower, it sucks, drive wheel falls off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.
Sounds like you got a lemon. Did you try taking it back to where you bought it from. If it was a big box store, try taking it to a Toro dealer for help.

I don't think you can go wrong with either unit!
If you could combine the two units, that would be a fantastic mower!

Honda's residential lawnmowers are the best for my yard.
It is a great unit!
I think The Honda HRX217 Push Lawn Mower is better.
I can't argue with that statement. I also couldn't argue if you said, the Masport was better.

Interesting, never thought of that.
The masports in New Zealand and Australia don’t have the safety handle thing we don’t have safety on our mowers 😂
