It appears the Honda leaves behind more defined ruts. Where there’s minimal ruts with the Masport and resulting in better stripes. I wish Masport would offer a Honda motor option vs Briggs
i have a 8.5hp masport commercial with blade clutch holy crap there well build solid and beefy plus ive been useing as a brush hog too and i can not kill this thing it chews brush like knife through butter and still the blades been still in great shape too and never dies when mowing down brush wich masport is a strong beast thats why love my masport plus parts are way cheaper then hondas
If your mower has a fuel shut off, open the valve and let it sit for a couple of minutes so the bowl has a chance to fill with gas. I have a shut off on my Honda GCV 160, I always run it dry after use. Before using I open the valve, wait a couple of minutes. It ALWAYS starts on the first pull.
@billdeblaey6078 I haven't had an issue starting the Honda. 95% of the time it's the first pole, the other 5% it's the second pole. But I might try that on the Briggs...its usually 2 poles.
@MrCooperman I tried getting the Toro ProStripe before I got the Masport. I bet I called 20 dealers and they all said they didn't have them, nor could they order them.
@@29Turf is not better the stripes maked from the lawn mower masport but from honda hrx that can make rear discharge correctly the grass when you get mowing grass
@@lawrenceyoung9306 it does not. I do want to get a Big League Lawns kit for it. But I'm guessing that will add about 10 pounds to the unit, so I haven't done it yet.
@@29Turf if you want start easy your masport rotorola with briggs engine pull the cord above the concrete of the road so you have less effort to start it
I have a new Toro battery mower, it sucks, drive wheel falls off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.

Always get best results with Honda mowers personally.
@@steveblack7853 they are nice units!

Honda any day, very reliable and great products all around.
I can't argue with that. It is a nice unit!
Check out the Toro ProStripe and 60V eProStripe

@@MrCooperman northern Wisconsin.
Does the weight of the Masport make you want to use the Honda more?
@thomashanan1996 honestly, no it doesn't. If you could move the blade control and handles to the Masport...that might be a perfect unit.

One day try John Deere ztrak z950r
Look at those ruts from the honda 😢
I think the drum on the back of the Masport helps remove the front tire ruts. But the Honda's definitely is noticeable.
