After living in Harrisburg in 1986, on Green St, I miss hearing the rigs from the N 6th St station going out whenever they had a call.

@FL92002 what do you film with? what kind of camera and/or phone specifically. What settings 1080p 60fps? or something else. I'm a filmmaker fire buff and I wanted to compare technical notes. Great video. Harrisburgh and PA are pretty cool areas to buff. I buffed Pittsburgh, PA for three years.

@@FL92002 Awesome! That's a nice camera! I have a Canon Rebel T7 DSLR that I don't use much. Video resolution is 1080p30fps. But my iPhone 12 will film 4k 60fps. I need to upgrade to something like your rig. If you're in the market for collabs or helping with a Fire Buffing Resource Education Channel check out "FireBuffNOW". I'm trying to reach out to younger buffs to guide them in their buff careers. Stay safe.

Is Harrisburgs "Wagon" Companies just like FDNY's "Squad" companies? Or how do that do that?

Do they still have a Gamewell Box Alarm System?

Hello Richard Stuve Sr., in answer to your Q, that Gamewell Box Alarm System has been dismantled in the city of Harrisburg, PA. That was done in the 1970s, in response to kids that were pulling the boxes on false alarms and when the City fire trucks responded the kids would pelt the trucks with stones & debris. That was during a time of racial tension in the city and nation. My dad drove the hook & ladder at the Allison Hill Station in Harrisburg and he told me they had to build Plexiglas shields around the front end cab and the tiller cab at he back side. My dad and his brother were fire fighters for the City in the 1950s, 60s and early 70s. Both retired and later on passed away. Those shields were put on the trucks to protect the drivers. Many of the trucks at that time had open air front ends on their fire trucks, which made the shields a needed item to protect the firefighters. The Gamewell box system was dismantled and saved and is on display at the National Fire Museum in Harrisburg, PA. More info is at this link: www.pnfm.org/gallery.html
