The character of FRANK was supposed to die after 5 episodes but since M.H. had been popular on Love Is Many Splendored Thing ABC made the writers 'save' him.
@@lisarenshaw1554 His “ratt-a-tatt-tatt” delivery of his lines was so distracting. Like he was in some old gangster movie. And many times it was obvious he was reading from cues and not focused or engaging with the other actors.
I love the relationship between Nell and Bucky. I have one nephew, no nieces and he is the most selfish, cold hearted individual I’ve ever met. Makes me envious when I see N&B.
Frank screwed around with Jill the entire marriage except when Dee was pregnant or just had LJ. He was gaslighting and manipulating her. She is several years younger, married him just out of high school. She is needy and he took advantage of that. Him, Jill a d Mary should just run off.
Because she is very young. She was dating Patrick in high school, he wasn't ready to get married, so she and Frank got together just after. They have only been married about 3 years so, she is 21 or 22.
Did anyone see Alan Lochner interviewing Helen Gallagher? She only mentions, Ilene Kristen, or Kate Mulgrew, by name. There was Malcolm, and she never acknowledged him. When he would ask her question, she pretended to be incoherent. Alan had to interject to keep the conversation up to speed. Helen never talks to Malcolm, directly. Even when he praised her for her role in No, No Nanette. She never said, "thank you.' Just goes to show, people you work with can pretend to know you, but don't.

Michael Hawkins is unbearable as Frank. Hard to believe that he lasted this long.
