This is probably the best album mix of Monstercat! It is very smooth and epic at the same time and blends in perfectly with the background! Can we all agree Monstercat has really outdone it?
You guys are too new to Monstercat. These mixes are absolute trash compared to the old legends Best of 2014 and Best of 2015. What once was a channel nearly dedicated to the EDM genre, turned into a huge sell-out by going super mainstream and catering to EVERY kind of music including rap music. I only clicked on this on a whim and again was disappointed. Stick to Frisson and FutureFox if you want actuall GOOD mixes with music that hits you in the feels.

So glad to be with you guys in the chat! It's pretty crazy to see how the label has been growing for such a long time! Been listening to Monstercat for at least 6-in-a-half years now. I even re-discovered Best of 2011 some days ago, and golly that one gave me such extreme nostalgia of EDM (I remembered around like several songs in that mix too), and here it's like a major difference of how EDM has changed (since both of these are 10 years apart from eachother), but here has such mind-blowing & futuristic sound touches (like Crankdat, Ace Aura, F.O.O.L, Pixel Terror & Saint Punk). And I gotta say that this background here is really nice looking, even some of these songs fit perfect with it too. And the transitions are such perfect & mind-blowing too! Oh yeah, that intro here has such combination too! :D
Word, though if I have to be honest, a lot of instinct tracks for me this year were forgettable in my opinion. I miss the hype that I had with Instinct back in 2018/2019 here is hoping 2022 will be a better year for Instinct for me. There was a lot of good tracks I like but a lot of them I don't remember what they sound like

Maybe the best compilation I've ever seen and listened to! Energy in the beginning, then some chill and bass tracks, with pure vocals and then of course a lot of energy til the end. Thank you for mixing it to convert all the songs into a big virtual performance.
I just now realized, if you look real closely on the rainbow scratches in the middle of the background, the way the rainbow colors move into them, it almost reminded me of how they moved on the bottom side of the background in Best of 2014 (just by the color ends), which I think is pretty cool. :)
I honestly want to see a full version of the intro they made for this, that shit was dope. I actively come back to this just to listen to it specifically.

Man, this is hell of a compilation, but I can't help but feel sorry for Tony Romera, Whales and Bishu, who had an amazing year, but didn't make it to the top 40.
Massive! This year has featured so many stellar new debuts from so many amazing new artists, as well as great releases from long-time members of the label, and returns from some old legends. In the past 10 years I've been following Monstercat, this has really been the year that has caught me the most. Really nice mix, and cheers to everything coming in 2022!
I think some of my favorites on here (besides Sleepless) are Somewhere New, Memory Bank, Waiting & D.E.A.L by KUURO (I like how they both have different style too), Dark Magic & Mercy.
Not gonna lie, this maybe my favorite best of the year mix yet. Lot of tracks and mixes that I enjoyed on here. Here's to 10+ years of MC greatness and what's to come in 2022.🐱🤙🏿

I really hope you make an album mix for Instinct, I think this was the best year for the sub-label and they deserve their own mix. This year was amazing for Monstercat, my favorite music was released here.
Damn here's to another epic year mix! So many gems, when Ghost in the machine hit I literally teared up. Not forgetting all the great music and producers not included here. Much love and many bangers to all of Monstercat community!
I think I might be the only one here, but I kinda wish you can reconsider redoing BO2021? Sure, the mix is good, don't get me wrong. But I believe so many promising artists that should have entered BO2021 got snubbed real hard despite the songs by these artists are too good to pass up:- - Tony Romera (I can't stand that guy throughout the last two years, but this year is his most improved year ever) - Skyler Maddison - Kumarion - Teddy Killerz - CloudNone - Vindata - Drinks On Me - Maazel - Loads of Silk artists (A.M.R., AK, Claes Rosen, Glaue, Veeshy, Hausman, etc, even the vocalist Brandon Mignacca) - etc. I do think we should include 60 tracks since the addition of Silk. It is tough to have a mix, yes, but choosing 40 out of like 150% the size of Monstercat songs compared to previous years is not a great idea, meanwhile allowing multiple songs per artist made it worse. P.S. I can't believe I'm saying this, but back then, I don't even care about Silk during the acquisition because I was not a fan of Progressive House and anything related anymore, and I am more like an Uncaged guy since I started subscribed in 2018. But after last May and June rolled around, I started to relisten and I appreciated those genres once again, ending up voting for more Silk songs compared to the other two brands lol. P.S. #2 English is not my primary language

Honestly, this is such a weird BO2021, the timescale this one took place in was incredibly short compared to past years. I almost want to say Mcat wants to phase out BO year mixes and are putting less effort into them, or they didnt have an honest voting system this year. I want to give Mcat the benefit of the doubt but there are just too many weird things with this album and mix. Vindata made top 20 electronic albums on Billboard this year for christ sake, and not even a mention in the BO album?? I've been here since Monstercat launched and this year has just been really head scratching for me.

What a wave of emotions! I'm glad to come back and see so much fresh music under Monstercat label. 2021 has been a year of EDM / bass-music rediscovery for me; from 2009 to the present year. I can't wait for another year of fresh beats! Ironically, the thing that got me back into Monstercat was my annoyance at their NFTs lol. I'll probably never understand their appeal, but it ultimately doesn't matter. So long as I can patronize new & old creatives in the music industry, I'll be happy.

Out if the 15 tracks I voted for 6 made it on this mix! Surprised Infected Mushroom didn't make it on this mix and disappointed no Danny Leax but overall solid Best of the year Mix! One of the best mixes next to the 2019 Mix! 2021 has been a huge year for debuts and I hope 2022 will be the next modern 2012 for Monstercat, a lot of tracks this year felt forgettable especially the instinct tracks IMO Not all were bad of course! Out if the 15 tracks I voted for 6 made it on this mix! Surprised Infected Mushroom didn't make it on this mix and disappointed no Danny Leax but overall solid Best of the year Mix! One of the best mixes next to the 2019 Mix!
2021 has been a huge year for debuts and I hope 2022 will be the next modern 2012 for Monstercat, a lot of tracks this year felt forgettable especially the instinct tracks IMO Not all were bad of course! OBLYVN is one of my favorite new artists!
