The helm he has on, reminds me of the Mask from the old Hercules cartoon. I fucking love it lol!
Level of detail in this art is outrageous, I can't begin to imagine how long it took to finish all of the assets.
Someone needs to check the Dev's basement for missing pixel artists being held against their will...

Honestly love the fact they just strap any new 'hats' to the helmet our Hero is stuck wearing, haha!
I bet you wouldn't find any chest armor through entire game. Just for shit and giggles. And finally a game that seems original and made in a way I missed for years.

This game looks really cool and feels pretty original as well, the art is great, the story seems interesting and it's got good sense of humor. Definitely will be playing this, thanks Splat!

Jesus, this one is a banger! Not only they did a great job animating enemies (in sprites!) and made armor visible, but most importantly they put a great spin on combat. Thanks Splat, I would missed this one for sure.
Are you serious? The animations are janky. The block mechanic requires accuracy and the animation isn't smooth enough to intercept incoming attack direction.

@Agent 33 I mean it does a bit. The parry is incredibly powerful so it being hard is very important. Requiring accuracy isn't a negative as it's just practice. But I agree sometimes the animations are hard to follow but that's just practice to learn the tells.
This game looks totally rad, and there's been no hype for it. Thanks for sharing, Splatt!

This game reminds me of that old game where you're a dragon and you go around doing lil puzzles.. witty, charming... and the combat definitely makes it appealing/challenging-- thx for the show splat; will toss it on my wishlist.

This makes me miss the Maniac Mansion/DOTT/Full Throttle/Monkey Island level of adventure game. Good comedy in games is almost impossible to find

The combat mechanics are pretty cool in terms of actually parrying enemy attacks and such, although I know I will absolutely suck at it.

Alright, the game had me at "simple-minded yet able-bodied nephew". That is exactly the kind of writing I'm looking for in an rpg.
Very unique looking game with huge attention to detail, I'm definitely picking this up when it releases.
After the first minute you can swear like a trooper splatt.
Loving the art and the writing. The main gameplay loop is definitely not something I'm interested in though. Maybe if they add an easy mode, I'd work my way through it.

It reminds me of Metal Slug animation. The design seems like it could also be used for a party based game. Reacting to the pixel frames is a great idea.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. The art style is awesome, but the fact there's no animation for attacks and you just hit anywhere on the screen drives me kinda crazy. I'm not sure I'd jump on this one myself. Definitely has had a lot of time and care put into it, and that's commendable, but it's just that combat style that really shuts me off.
I can't wait for the release :D

I was wondering why you insisted on dodging the flame grenades after figuring out you could bonk the health potion in the air, and therefore also focus on bonking anything the halflings want to throw by clicking on the exact spot where they always start the throwing animation for both heal and attack. lmao

This looks like a game that actually would play well with touch controls, like Infinity Blade. I might even prefer that to a mouse.

Are the stick and shield you're holding meant to be magical?
Because it seems VERY odd that you can attack right across the screen from your character... especially since you can't loot from a distance.
I think the weird helmet your character has gives them telekinesis.

Game logic: Every once in a while you see a mouse run across the floor. It's rare enough that it might be worth investigating next time you play.
