@MusicislifeBR Hey man, I took it down temporarily while I go back through all my videos and upload PDF's for each song. If there's something in particular you want in the meantime though I'd be happy to send it to you.
@ShittyMcPoopyBalls The Carvin's are surprisingly great. I'm not the best at rating recording gear, but Greg has come to prefer them over almost any mid-range tom microphone. Considering the price they can't be beat!
@bcoklay I own them and use them occasionally when waiting for my preferred stick ( Zildjian Mike Mangini Signature) to arrive in the mail; they haven't really damaged my heads at all and I would say that I am a fairly 'hard hitter.'
@kylejackson54 Please see the gear tab on my website. alexrudingerdotcom/gear Remove the 'dot' and replace it with a period. TH-cam doesn't let you post hyper-links in comments.
@stolmasa I believe he's said before that it's triggered and run through a Ddrum4SE drum module... Unless it's changed since then. I'm pretty sure you can see the trigger on the top left of the kick, though.
Man I swear you make the foot technique look soo damn easy!! I bet it took you a number of years to perfect it. Hopefully one day I will also perfect it. Rock on brutha!!
hey awesome drumming!! i have one question: do you trigger just as an addon for a better cut and click in the mix or do you just tap the skin so that otherwise one could not hear the bassdrum like some black metal drummer :D :D just curious
i was against triggers for the longest time but i got explained a while ago that they arent used by lazy drummers who just dont care how their bass drum sounds like through a mic but the soul purpose for triggers is to enable accuracy within music just so its easier to edit and stuff and it provides consistancy
@ShittyMcPoopyBalls Actually, I have a bucket a few feet tall and a foot or so wide that I throw my broken sticks into. It's currently overflowing, haha.
@mdterps1042 Wow, that was from a while ago. I know I ask you a lot of questions but, on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your Carvin d42's in a recording setting?
Hey, once u posted a link for a transcription in a music sheet in one of your videos, but i'm not finding it anymore. Do you still have it or u really deleted the link? Thank you, rock on.
Hey man, just a heads up, I follow your work and am always waiting for new vids and music of yours. I know you're a Meinl man and I back that 10 fold... Can you tell me what chinas your using here even though they're Sabian? Would mean a lot dude! Thanks
that is hands down the cleanest snare i have EVER heard. badass video
@stump713
Thanks man! It's actually a Pearl Reference Brass
Awesome stuff man! Love your band, keep up the awesome work.

Dont know if anyone knows but that debut album was done with a drum program, no acoustic drums recorded! listen carefully.....
@bcoklay These are Vic Firth Magnum marching sticks. Much heavier and larger in diameter than 5b's.
woo! great drumming. Maryland ftw
Awesome T-shirt! Raunchy rules, Danish metal ftw!
And fucking sick drumming as well!
This man is a beast, flawless technique...
thank you for being ambidextrous. I can finally watch another drum with the same style/setup as me
Just good old Groove Metal drumming ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@ChordxClient
I believe I'm about 5' 10".
Very excellent footwork
@bcoklay I own them and use them occasionally when waiting for my preferred stick ( Zildjian Mike Mangini Signature) to arrive in the mail; they haven't really damaged my heads at all and I would say that I am a fairly 'hard hitter.'

@stolmasa Look into the footcam window. Can you also see such a little red thing on the BD? ^^
hey alex. i know nothing about open stance...
does it make anyting easier, or is it just a preference thing?
im a jazz musician, but man i love watching you play, can you do some more AAL covers!
ambidextrous yea most drummers are ;)
and hey wicked drumming man... i like your ride fills :)
Wish my left foot was as strong as yours! Great job.

Herregud. Det var sjukt. :)
This guy could definitely play songs from Animals as Leaders and Periphery. He's got his timing locked down to a millisecond!
@inimicalODDITY he uses the Zildjian Mike Mangini sticks. well thats what he said in a different video anyway.
Hey, I'm just wondering what pedals you use and if you have them loose or tight? Amazing drumming :)
@jbguitarking there are a ton of tap tempo apps you can get for your computer or smart phone, i tapped out 170 roughly
@hammthepigful He has mentioned that is maxed out on a previous comment.
Hot damn that is one nice sounding snare.
What kind is it? It sounds wicked boss.
Fill at the end was WOW....
i was against triggers for the longest time but i got explained a while ago that they arent used by lazy drummers who just dont care how their bass drum sounds like through a mic but the soul purpose for triggers is to enable accuracy within music just so its easier to edit and stuff and it provides consistancy
Is that a Dunnett snare? Sounds great!
@ShittyMcPoopyBalls
Actually, I have a bucket a few feet tall and a foot or so wide that I throw my broken sticks into. It's currently overflowing, haha.
that bass drum sounds savage.
Perfection.
I like the kick on here more then the newer video
Hey man, really great job. I wonder what double bass pedal u're using. Seems a Pearl demon drive because of the direct drive.

@skateslave360
14x6.5
The power of the beard!

Hey Alex! saw you got some new recording gear on fb. was this recorded with the new set up?
@mdterps1042 Wow, that was from a while ago. I know I ask you a lot of questions but, on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your Carvin d42's in a recording setting?
@AROBcyprus sounds like a combination of an actual mic and the trigger for more definition.
once again your footwork is spot on
When you gonna start doing some of the second albums tracks? :P
great job alex! are you a mangini's student
YESSSSS!
Hey, once u posted a link for a transcription in a music sheet in one of your videos, but i'm not finding it anymore. Do you still have it or u really deleted the link? Thank you, rock on.

Tops anything Cobus ever did. Keep it up.
hey, does anyone know the tempo of this song? wouldnt mind recording my own guitar over the top of this.
Inspiration du dernier fear factory ?
Can you tell us how much time you spend on avarage practicing with power wrist builders?
Are you just ambidextrous? if not what handedness are you and what side did you start playing on first?
@4Bold i wanna get some after hearing how your stuff sounds like :(!!!! aha
Alex wearing a non-black t shirt! Lol. I think your drumming is GREAT
Your Bassdrum - Head is pretty strong tuned isnt it ? Please tell me .. if its not just illusion !
Have your drum sticks ever broken while playing that caused you injury?

@littledevil3964 Not anymorezzzz.

Hey man, just a heads up, I follow your work and am always waiting for new vids and music of yours. I know you're a Meinl man and I back that 10 fold... Can you tell me what chinas your using here even though they're Sabian? Would mean a lot dude! Thanks

god pearl demon drive pedals are so stupid heavy, maybe they were just set up bad when i played them, eh still love my axis.
i wonder the person who disliked this how he feels now...
your drum tone has improved so much from when you first started. Great job man. And having short hair kicks ass eh?
I hate you for covering this song this, you don't even give me a fair chance to match this ;( subbed anyway!
@kidR0BOT All rimshots, brobot; deceptively difficult.
Would love to see you do a metal improv/solo.
Some of this reminds me of fear factory. Maybe I'm crazy
Nah, they were huge FF fans and this album was actually produced and mixed by Christian.
u
you are almost better than a drum machine :P
@inimicalODDITY its just 4/2 lol. but clean i give you that.
Dude you should really get a better camera for your foot work...a stroboscopic one can maybe capture that speed properly :D
