My grandfather fought for the British army in the Second World War in Chattogram against the imperial Japanese army. Nowadays we are an independent country named Bangladesh there are two World War massive graveyards in Chittagong ( Chattogram ) & Comilla. It's a dream for my life to visit all those historical places of World War 2 ❤

I've been to Helgoland a few times and also a bunker museum on the dutch island of Schiermonnikoog. I've also been to the Hanstholm museum in Denmark and the sites in Jersey.

If I was with you I would be wanting to take a shovel and dig up the openings that were covered with sand. You have to wonder if there is anything inside the closed off bunkers. It was nice to see inside the bunkers that were open. The last one was pretty big. Can’t wait to see what else you have found on this trip.

Oh this one has so much to take in - fantastic! Not quite finished the video yet, but I did want to start typing before I forget my thoughts lol.
First is that I am so grateful to you for uncovering the otherwise lost or neglected places in which World War II was engaged. Thanks to you we get to see these areas and objects before the disappear completely.
And... I had a thought that the scrap heap in that room in the larger bunker might have been a collection point for the scrap metal taken from the rest of the bunker after the war, but for some reason never taken away. I can't identify any of the pieces besides the barbed wire, but I haven't finished that part of the video yet. Very, very intriguing!
Going further in the video, it becomes clear that they expended quite a few resources on this location, so it must have had a very important role, even outside of the island itself perhaps. That is an extremely high-tech installation for its time.

That place was some find...the big room with the tiles? Obviously something sat on the concrete plinth on the floor a water tank or generator? Must have been some sort of liquid as there was drainage built into the floor.

The Control Bunker was humongous. Wouldn't it have been something if all electronics and other equipment were still inside. It was rare to see tile on the floor. The V858C MG bunker looked like it served its purpose. Thanks for also taking us inside the L411 Regelbau. They sure cleaned everything out of that one also. I guess at least the metal was recylced. Extremely interesting German AW Island fortification . Thanks, EE and HH. ❤❤

Different types of bunkers for different uses is fascinating. Loved the mg bunker on its side and the single story but huge radar bunker. Thanks for your work finding and sharing them.

The generator bunker for the searchlight was very interesting. I was surprised they would allow the public into the interior. It was in pretty good shape with the exception of some graffiti bandits! The two story gigantic bunker was another amazing piece of engineering, the thing was just enormous! All the scrap and wiring in that one room was an unusual find! Another interesting tour and history lesson! Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe and stay well!

The German engineering is absolutely amazing. Think about all the construction projects performed by the Germans over a relatively short period of time and the scale of what was accomplished. I am always surprised to see what was done in even very remote locations. Sadly there is a very dark side regarding the people forced to construct these structures. Thankfully we have the History Hunter Family keeping this history alive is it is never forgotten. Thank you for all you do to show us these amazing locations. Blessings from Mike ^ Matthew.

Shame those earlier bunkers were buried in the sand, but, at least, they've been saved from the graffiti monsters. That radar command bunker was truly fascinating, especially seeing those two entrances with all those cable holes running through the walls. That was something truly amazing to see. The workmanship in these bunkers is always stunning to see. That first room, with all the scrap inside was also fascinating. Obviously left since the initial post-war clean up. I wonder if all that was what was left of a Freya radar's framework? Crushed and rolled up, and dumped in the bunker, and left to rot, along with the barbed wire rolls? Probably deemed worthless to the scrap merchants of the time. Love these little mysteries, they always get the imagination going. Thank you guys, for sharing this amazing place with us. Cannot wait to see what else you uncover in the place! Cheers to you both!

Great video HH. The last bunker would be nice to restore to its original condition. That these are open is great. It is amazing how the weather has buried or exposed the bunkers. EE you are becoming a walking encyclopedia on bunkers/weapons. The island looks to be something I would spend a week camped onto look and map. Great job. Stay safe and well out there.

Its a shame some of the younger generation disrespects by marking on the walls of history however that bunker was cool whatever took place in that area was huge

That opening at 6:30min mark i think, not for sure though looks like it was used maybe for storing large gun barrels to be put together in the feild. I don’t know really but if I was in them times I would of made a storage for equipment to be assembled in locations maybe.

This is definitely a high level C&C bunker with all those cable runs! The large room you went into i have seen before on another site it might have been a plotting table making this a firing control bunker OR something very electronic like RADAR?

The most amazing thing is the huge amount of civil and military constructions carried out during these twelve years 1933 to 1945. Huge concrete fortifications, bunkers, large buildings, military bases, factories and plants producing air planes, battle tanks, war ships etc. that would take a minimum of fifty years for modern govts. to accomplish.

You need to come to the state of Oregon in the USA. We have Ft. Steven’s and Battery Russell that guarded the mouth of the Columbia River. The Columbia River divides the States of Oregon and Washington coming in from the Pacific Ocean. It’s pretty fun to explore. Seeing the gun placements and such.

This was an amazing explore.. would be interested to see what the equipment may have looked like in that main installation .. not two story ? Radar equipment you say inside the actual bunker .. what does this look like ? There may have been an array on top ... Do Not find graffiti interesting ot enjoyable at all .. but this this was such an interesting place .. thank you EE & HH for showing this bunker complex to us .. okays take care ..

What an interesting place. This bunker was huge! There had to have been a ton of electrical equipment running in and out of there. Too bad the graffiti idiots had been there. I never understood the reason to deface anything like that. There were so many different positions on the Atlantic wall that it would take a very long time to see them all. Thanks guys for another great video it also amazes me as to how well kept some of these places are except where the Russians had totally destroyed places. Sure there is some rubble in this one but imagine it all cleaned up and the graffiti removed it would bring more tourists in to see them and charge a fee for the upkeep.
