But Varian was the last good thing the alliance lost, before the current lore team decided that to tell a story of the horde, the alliance needed to be a patetica version, of itself, and play dumb for the horde to feel good. Alliance has half gods in their group? Let's make their leaders be idiots who forget the most basic of what we know about the Horde and blight, we will make them lose one of their capitals and never get back the act, by letting Syl use a tatica of devastated land to thwart this only chance to hit the horde hard, while not letting them use the advantages it has ( I'm looking at you Vindica , wherever you have beaten) and do everything ally conquered in BfA be just a phyrric vitory, while the horde not only destroyed Darnassus as deprered Darkshore and completed deforestation with Blight.
And we haven't even seen Gilneas recovered in game. Just in a crappy book, that we would never allow us to see any reflection of something where it really matters, in game, as the horde can always see Gilneas ruined, Theramore nuked to hell and now, with Darnassus in the largest pile of coal in Azeroth and the horde coming out unpunished with another free pass and the alliance with its pride and union in tatters as we could see in our cinematic end-of-war motivator at the embassy that was depressing , which was sad, to the satisfaction of Blizzard and Horde.
And let's not even talk about seeing Jaina and Geblin converted into loot pinatã for the horde, when we didn't even have the same in the alliance, having to be humiliated in seeing the fight for the horde version, purple blood elves who never gave a rotten apple by the alliance as placebo to High elves, obese kultirans who have not earned the respect of virtually anyone and junkgnomes who have an imperceptive minority that of them not garnering any prestige and interest to ally , as the opposite race of the vulperas superpopulars, relegating the alliance feel a lack of disgusting prestige, which seems more to have been made to demoralize the alliance in any assessment.

Seeing the story of a man who’s realised he hasn’t been living for his own happiness despite being one of the best to do his line of work, been on a path pre-destined for him by his mother/grandmother, and who now wants to find his happiness in a world where he could die at any time due to his job is refreshing to see.
I agree. I never much cared about Matthias Shaw but I really enjoyed his whole story

I’m a Horde player and this is one of coolest characters on alliance that I like.
@John Nabil Valeera has always been more of a alliance character, her loyalties are her own and shes loyal to house Wrynn so as long a Wrynn sits on the throne she will be more of an alliance char
The only ally I played was pre-bc Vanilla to 60 as well as the cata quests in the old world... right now I’m rushing through all of the quests throughout the expansions for fear that they’ll soon be gone, and Shaw is one of the people I’m most looking forward to seeing! Dude is so cool.

Vereesa getting development has historically been a painful enterprise for her. Maybe she'll get a bit more of the Jaina BFA treatment?
Hopefully they dont have her just standing in one place like she was pretty much the whole of BfA
I also want the void elves as a whole to get more development, out of all allied races they have so little lore.
Honestly, Alleria seems like she's going going to go down a Sylvanas route. Mind you, I don't think this is a bad thing; if done correctly, this could be used to have the Windrunner sisters foil off one another. No doubt Sylvanas is going to die or at least be defeated in Shadowlands, but I think Alleria could help build both characters, drawing similarities between herself and Sylvanas, whilst expressing the differences between the sisters through Vereesa.
Mind you, this could be done correctly if Blizzard writes the story competently, like how Kathreen's character was built upon by Jaina and Lady Ashvane, whilst also building Jaina's character in the process. But you should also remember, these guys are the guys who didn't have us kill Grommash at any point in WoD and also killed N'zoth in a patch, so it's kinda a coin flip
Hope she gets a bit more shit for painting Sylvanas as a horrible monster just for being undead and I hope Vereesa gets called out for at least pushing her into this direction as she was the one who wanted to kill Garrosh and later turned her back on her.

I mean we did use the power of the azerite through our necklaces in order to destroy nzoth

Once they upgraded his gear, I couldn’t understand how he could be such an expert spy/infiltrator when his armor is so snazzy.

Yeah, people underestimate Dreadlords or the demons themselves. Just because we go around killing them willy-nilly by the time of Legion doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else. Dreadlords used to exclusively be powerful elites and they're meant to be the most masterful infiltrators in a cosmic conquering force.

Wow. Never been into love relationships in this game but here, this is very refreshing and interesting! More than tyrande shouting MY LOVE 30 times in legion. Good to see some diversity in the game.
TBH I have shipped Mathias and Flynn ever since that little heist into the treasury.. Back then, it was little more than a fangirl's crazy ship, but to see them actually together makes my heart melt.. I'm so happy, that Blizzard is finally embracing the little details, like a spiring romance between their characters, it gives the game so much depth, rather than just hosting a vouple thousand murderhoboes..
The in depth explanation of how Mathias thinks of Flynn was on another level... Also this is surprisingly new of bliz to have a romantic story like even the couples of this game don't rly have time to be romantic so this should be good

Legion made shaw so cool, im glad they are using him a lot more. as a rogue it was so cool seeing shaw with valeera after that cutscene in bfa, really felt like the uncrowned was getting back together.
I'm an old heterosexual woman and I am all hyped about FairShaw. After 16 years of playing the first couple I really am excited for. I hope they will live long enough to develop their love.
I'm an old heterosexual woman who has played since BC. Apparently you skipped the Legion xpac because Flynn is straight. I am skeptical of Roux as an author for WOW canon. I think she's barking up the wrong tree. But then again, I personally dislike pink hair, piercings, and tattoos. I never have done fads.

@@valkyriesardo278 (1) Flynn didnt exist in Legion. (2) Blizzard told Roux to set him up with Shaw as part of the outline of evemts they wanted to happen in this book.

I'm happy you went over some of the Rogue order hall stuff, maybe random but im happy you brought up Amber Kiernen. I hated that they killed her off. i was really REALLY hoping she would be a follower in the Hunter order hall campaign you could recruit. It made perfect sense since she was a sniper that had your back in quite a few zones/quest chains. So dumb they killed her off, i liked Amber, im happy she played a semi-important part in the lore, i just wish she was still around. Who knows, maybe we'll meet her again and she will be sniping enemies in the Maw with us. idk, she was one of those characters thats been around for a while from classic, to the cata revamp quests, and my fav, the Jade forrest quest chain, she was awesome. Her and John J Keeshan have to be my fav side NPC characters.

He’s basically what I had hoped Garona would be for the horde.
The horde has a lot of potential with character development in rogue characters, Garona, Lillian Voss, Valeera; to name a few. The problem?
They have almost nobody to play off of and make their characters interesting. Characters are made interesting by how they interact with their environment/other characters. Shaw is interesting because he plays off characters, such as Graymane and, most notably, Flynn. Are there any characters who Garona interacts with? Nope. What about Valeera, well yes, but that character is Shaw and she's mostly there to drive plot, like in the case of her attending the meeting with Wrathion, Anduin, and Magni at the start of 8.3 (the only purpose of her presence was so the horde could have an introductory quest to the cloak, visions, and new raid).
Voss has potential to be driven by Stone, who mirrors her character quite a bit, in a sort of mentor and teacher sort of way, but in my opinion: the best character to further Lilian Voss's character was Thomas Zelling, who was infinitely more interesting than Stone and had the potential to become a badass main character, but was killed off to make Sylvanas seem ruthless. Truthfully, as pissed as everyone got at N'zoth's fast death and wasted potential, I was more pissed off by how a great character like Zelling was killed to make Sylvanas, the character who burned a city full of civilians alive because one elf told her that she couldn't kill hope, seem ruthless.

@@gabrieleslinger6169 Valeera has nothing to do with the Horde, her only loyalty is to house Wrynn. Only reason why she was in Zandalar was because she was sent there by Anduin to tell the Horde hero (the player character) what had happened in Stormwind with Wrathion and introduce them to 8.3 content.

It’s the first. Trust me, I combed the entire wow lore 3 times over just to check that. And tbh, I’M SO HAPPY ❤️(even if it’s probably gonna be kept in the books ‘cuz blizz wants money from countries where gay is illegal. So yey. Still a cool romance, tho)

It's the first canonically acknowledged. There's a few quests with suggestive dialogue (a tauren and night elf druid pair in firelands is the only one I can think of rn).

Just love how people are complaining about “Oh it’s being forced!” Or “Oh I’m unsubing because there just happens to be a non straight relationship!”. One their story if you actually pay attention isn’t forced at all.. two most of those who are complaining about it being two guys wouldn’t say crap if it were about two girls now would you? No, you wouldn’t complain at all. So, who cares if a character is bi?! It’s 2020! Get over it!!
Why do people keep talking about his bright alliance-ey armor? Do people still not realize rogues in WoW can literally turn invisible? It's not just regular sneaking. It was confirmed once more in the cinematic where those undead assassin try to kill Thrall/Varok, and then again very recently in the Afterlives: Maldraxxus with Draka blipping in and out of view constantly followed by the rogue stealth noise. Given that they've had abilities like Cloak of Shadows and Shadow Dance for ages now, do people have a hard time believing rogues know some shadow magic to bolster their abilities?

So shaw is gay for flinn? Honestly they had a great, albeit small interaction in BFA, but like the majority of BFA they didn't explore that story, interaction, whatever at all. More wacky Shaw/Flinn hijinks would have been great.
i can't wait for Matthias and Flynn to become slightly more overt in game, and despite setting it up from pre-BFA/legion, and people get super mad about "LGBT-pandaren"

However unless blizzard makes it very, very clear, and just leaves it at "oh Flynn while the zandalari were torturing me for weeks, I couldn't stop thinking about us being together in a small winter lodge, I want to get to know you better and enjoy living together with you" people will very very easily extrapolate that into gay.
And I'm all for that, but I know Blizz cares about Chinese and eastern European sales numbers, so they won't risk making it official. And they will never be able to say anything insinuating it is.
As much as I love and live LGBT couples, I hate when companies do breadcrumb shit like this. "Haha see were leaving just enough to bait you, but we care about out eastern market shareholders!"
Remember Bi doesn't exist to some people, not everyone saw that tweet, and some people take his in game flirting with her as him being straight.
I want the big gay spy ship as much as next girl but until we reach GW2 levels of gay we are nowhere to those who won't look, and hellspawn to shareholders.

When a popular manga or anime introduces an LGBT character, nobody bats an eye.
When a popular western franchise introduces an LGBT character, it's "SJW"- this and "liberal pandering"- that.
It seems you can no longer enjoy a franchise without choosing sides.
I think people were just rooting for Valeera and Shaw, seeing as how that's out the window I'm hoping for Valeera and Feathermoon, a strong lesbian couple would do some good I think
@@saffronic3026 shouldve been Thalissra and Lady Liadrin for the strong lesbian couple and shaw and valeera as a strong hetero couple. I'm all for same sex relationships when it feels they make sense. Shaw and Flynn really only had that 1 interaction in 1 war campaign quest and it felt like a forced relationship to me in the book. The gay farmer and the lesbian Zandalari trolls didnt feel forced it felt like it gelled in perfectly but Shaw and Flynn felt like a "diversity couple" to just push a major character gay for no reason. Idk my personal opinion on it. I'm fine if they had more chemistry but I dont see it tbh

Shaw was going to warn the fleet, "It's a trap, don't attack" but he was taken. But the fleet was already on the way, so it was like the Horde and Alliance wanted to attack something, didn't know what and they would figure it out when they got there. They didn't even need a dreadlord deceiving them, they did themselves in.
They knew it was the Burning Legion coming and it makes sense they'd wanna hit them before they got any sort of foothold, cause once they do there was a chance it'd be impossible to push them back and it's over. It's a big risk, but the other risk of not acting is letting the Burning Legion win.
Ofcourse we do manage to recover and we as the hero does manage to turn everything, but it's more meant as a miracle and a great struggle than anything that a reassured thing after losing Broken Shore. We know as players we will win against the threat, but I'm pretty sure it's meant to appear more hopeless and that the Legion has already won, we're just slowing them down from conquering, yet we prove the opposite which is the point of our story.
Eitherway it was a desperate attempt to halt the invasion at its core and it failed. It's the Burning Legion afterall, it's unlike any other threat that anyone has faced and it remains the biggest and greatest threat we've faced so far in terms of the critical emergency and need to act upon it before any sound strategy can be made, or if that's even possible as to us at the time the Burning Legion is infinite.

Well its 2020 and we all have our "flaws" (don't see beeing gay as a flaw, but some do) and we should accept everyone on this planet. I mean due to wrong pictures of people we had people like Hitler or other evil personalities in the past. Think about you action. You don't have to be gay, but to tolerate people should be a thing that everyone can do.
PS: I am a christian and thats not a reason for me to wait for sex until marriage or be disgusted by people that aren't waiting either.
First time I've ever heard of any homosexuals in WoW. It's nice to see blizzard is willing to give us more variety in characters sexualities. Most other characters we've seen so far are heterosexual.

I feel like if the people who are against the idea of the pairing would just take the time to listen and to watch this video they would understand how amazing the writing is for these two it feels natural as it should i hate when Entertainment shoe horns in LGBTQ characters to check a box off the list, (if you dont know what i mean watch pretty much any Netflix original) this is definitely not that and it is a shining example of how character development should be done. I just hope they give Taelia and Anduin the same treatment I want to see a ceremony at the end of this next expansion or at the begining of the next (sort of that Velen moment at the end of legion) Anduin knows he needs to leave a bloodline and who better for a potential wife...
