Hey guys! Happy Thankgiving! So here is the good news! I'm movingggggg! I'm moving from Atlanta, GA all the way to Pennsylvania! So things have been a bit busy! I've been a bit slow with emails and replying to comments, but you all know how I like to talk to everyone haha. However I want to post more videos for you all before volleyball season starts next year! So comment below, how many videos you want to see a week, and how you found me! Keep playing! Coach Koko
Koko Volley hi I’m a 5th grade volleyball player at a level where I need to learn this type of serving. I’ve been trying to find a perfect video and yours worked the best for me, and I have been subscribed for you for a while this is your recent video you’ve posted. Thank you
Hi koko I have been watching your videos for about a month now and I had volleyball tryouts last week. And I made the Team! I just wanted to say thank you
thot tv when you dive you are supposed to have your arms out and your domanant leg comes in, landing you on your hips and chest. Your arms are NOT supposed to touch the floor to break your fall. It'll hurt I have so many bruises lmao hopefully that helps a LITTLE
I just want to take a minute to say thank you Koko.I managed to make the schools volleyball team.Watching your videos have been such a great help and I went from only knowing how to underhand serve to learning to overhand and rollshot.
Same! Ur tryout videos and tips were definitely a help when I also made my school team! Tysm because I was able to get in one of 15 spots out of 32 girls in only 2 tryouts to prove my skills! Love ur videos! ✨✨
Coach Koko, you helped me soo much on my volleyball journey! I am a 7th grade volleyball player and in less than 4 months I became my team's libero. Your videos helped me a lot with progressing and developing my skills correctly! Thank you soo much!!❤️
Nebriis _ well for me it took about 2 months because I worked on it all summer for fall volleyball, I had the power for it , i just don’t have my form down , I learned from a former volleyball player for USC , her name was Victoria Gerrick , she has a channel and you can find many volleyball videos and tutorials on her Chanel as well
I like your tip on mastering your regular serve before moving on to the jump float. At the pre-season practices my coach held last year, I had an okay jump float serve. But when I realized that they weren't as consistent, I decided to move back into standing serve. And unfortunately I forgot how to do my own serve :( I decided to stop jump serving altogether and work on improving my standing serve before going back to a jump serve. Just two days ago, I developed an approach for a jump serve (as I find it easier to do than a topspin) and tried it out at practice the next day. It is very consistent and I am very happy with it :). I still switch in between my standing serve and jump serve so that I don't forget it XD. This video is very helpful and I had wished I had seen it sooner!
Last week me and my friends were just passing the volleyball, and then I decided to try out a float serve and bruh dead ass I got it first try and I’ll never forget how the ball just started moving left to right slightly with no spin. It was fire.
Guys, as cool as Haikyuu is (yes, I watched it a few years after I got into volleyball) please don't make the whole comment section about it. Some of us actually came here to learn and enjoy the sport, and it's kind of difficult when it's all about the anime yk? No offense to anyone of course, just my personal thoughts and opinions. 💕
I prefer the high toss and full on spike approach serve. It takes time to get the toss right, but when you do you get it every single time and it’s an amazing serve
Make sure to snap your wrist and put all of your strength into the serve. Get a running start or do a jump serve. I struggled with the same problem for years, and I've just mastered it.
So I play with my community and recently the coach of the volleyball team (Middle and High school) came and she got to play against us. I’m really glad I learned how to do a jump serve so I could impress her!
i actually play volleyball and yes i watched haikyuu. i watched it after i started volleyball but haikyuu gave me soo much motivation and now i really wanna do this serve thing
I am trying to serve differently starting this year and i am really learning all the serves one by one. I would like to master the float serves before the jump serve so thank you. Volleyball is starting and i am kind of nervous because i injured myself last year before the second round of the games so i am hoping to playing most of the matches this year.😊💜Thanks for the tip
This is actually something i kind of struggle to do, everytime i try to float it usually goes into a too or bottom spin or just has some spin but not too much. Thank you!
I’m always commenting on your videos asking questions , my bad lol. But thank you for being such a genuine person , you’re always interested in what your subscribers are learning!
Thank's much koko, i love the way you teach us, on how to do that, how to do this,, it's great, because, i used to do the tutorial that u show us,. Even we are a local players, we can make things possible through ur tutorial, thanks a lot koko, from Philippines,, ♥♥♥
Koko! So I recently watched your overhand serve and am following steps to get it mastered but I don’t seem to have any power to get it over unless I’m close to the net and I have volleyball tryouts all week. I really want to make the team but my serve is a problem 😭😭pls help me koko!!
Are there places where someone can practice alone? My backyard won’t do and I don’t think my school will allow me to use a court to practice. Also I’m pretty new to volleyball and i get embarrassed and I’m to scared to ask my PE teacher about anything.
Y’all know that the float serves is one of the most common serves used in volleyball if not, the most common. Yamaguchi isn’t a unique case just because he does the jump float. And no, they should not rename the Jump Float the “Yamaguchi Serve”
Ohh I see. I have a different approach cuz I have such long legs and skinny arms. And when I jump serve I have to do a curve and approach like a spike but this is very very helpful to try something new to help my consistency
Can u plz do a video about how to do a jump server. And a video about ranking the weakest to strongest serves to most powerful and effective during a game
The most powerful is a top-spin jump serve. The weakest (overhand) is a regular floater serve. I do a top-spin jump serve, and apparently it's horrifying from the point of view of the teammates I serve at during practice 😂. But really any top-spin serve is good.
hi I’m in the 8th grade and just last year I started playing volleyball and I’m not particularly very good but when I’m in high school I would really love to make the team... do u think it’s too late to try out or should I still go for it? 😅
GO FOR IT. I know this is late but I know a lot of people who tried out in high school and weren’t very good, but throughout the season they improved because they had great coaches.
Leanne Park I’ve been playing for 5 years and I’ve always been scared for the day of tryouts because I’m still not “perfect” I still need a sh*t ton of stuff to work on but the only things you should be focusing on is yes, spiking the ball over the net, setting, diving and ofc bumping. They don’t focus on super difficult things like this or attacking so I would just focus on the key steps, trust your gut and go for it.
Hi koko! I'm great at volleyball technique and skill thanks to you! Even though I'm good at skill i have really weak noodle arms. Do you have any suggestions on good arm strength workouts/drills.
Hey koko, I love your videos they helped me get on my middle school team and I wanted to know if you have any ways to get my overhand serve stronger, also to control my underhand serve. When I bump I try to bump off my forearm but it usually doesn’t work out. I sound like I can’t every hit the ball, but do you have I can get my set stronger when I set it doesn’t move far from in front of my and sometimes rolls off my fingers. Once again Koko you are my favorite and I wouldn’t be where I am with out you please answer me and HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Koko Volley I practice with the rest of my team Monday’s and Tuesday’s from 3:15 this to 4:30 but our gym is really small so we don’t get the full experience and when we hit the ball it hits the ceiling so we were at a disadvantage but thankfully we made it to the semi-finals
I prefer a two hand toss personally. I’ve noticed that women tend to do one hand and men tend to do two. But, I was taught a two hand and honestly I could never master the one hand. I enjoy having better control over the toss. This isn’t a criticism btw just stating a preference I have this is a great tutorial and has great tips to make good serves better
Sorry not trying to hate or anything, but surely for the two hand jump float (not sure about the others since I don't do them) it's better to jump off 2 feet?
I'm trying to help my daughter improve her already good serve. Your information is helpful but on the 2-hand creeping I noticed when you did it slow you said for the hit to come between the second creep step and the landing of the jump, meaning you were jumping off your right foot. When you went to actually do it, the first time you did the hit off the right foot jump but the 2nd and 3rd times you took a third step and jumped off of your left foot before striking the ball. Which way is correct? Thanks!
Hi, I’m left handed but when I first just threw the ball up and spiked it I did it with my right hand and I keep doing it, I kind of want to use my left hand in stead, do you have any ideas of what exercises to do for ,e to change it
