    Just did this progression with a young player who’d never jump served before; it worked beautifully!

    I've never understood the purpose of this.....this technique has them contacting the ball at virtually the same height as standing. If the idea is to actually "jump" and contact it higher....you should toss with 2 hands and jump with both arms

      Yeah I am now practicing to toss with both hands

      Are you serious right now?...Arms are huge part of jumping. You must make jokes

      Just a coordinative part, not huge. There are a lot of studies about this

      you most likely don't jump very high. It's all good
