Vinnie makes a lot of sense, when he talks about underground as being viewed as a lesser form, it's the same way we think of amateurs, the word has gotten so twisted. The difference between an amateur and a professional is that one earns his/her living from xyz whereas the amateur does it out of pure enjoyment. Somewhere along the way we started to view amateurs as being novice or of a lower standard. Often this is not the case and more often than not the amateur has more pure motives.
Raw artists like Vinnie need to step up to the plate and take people under their wing and continue their legacy in the game, and keeping it raw. Educate the few to show the mass.
I can't bring the title to mind. I know it's from either the Psycho Social CD or Violent By Design. Anyway, I'd suggest you download both albums and listen to them all the way through until you find it. If you like that beat, believe me, it won't be a waste of your time. Every track sounds as good as that if not better.
I think that's what he's trying get get across. Before it wasn't as accessible. Now it a click away. Still called underground because there not signed. But for him he doesn't associate himself with that. So he says he does hardcore rap.
the one MC that i would most like to meet and speak from all of the world keep it up vinnie my respect and love from greece
You don't want to meet him, familiarity breeds contempt, trust.
Amazing lyricist, really underrated.
