  • Jalen Reagor had so much hype coming out of TCU, but after two years, people have already declared him as a bust and as of today, he is the most hated player in the NFL for his playoff performance. Today i want to put Jalen in a positive light, tell his story and talk about why things have not gone according to plan, enjoy!

I am tired of the hate that Jalen Reagor and lots of other players get, I know his performance was not great, but the worst of humanity comes out of sports fans when a player doesn't live up to their standards or their team loses a game. It is childish, immature and uncalled for. Hopefully this video puts a positive spin on a negative story. You should root for people, not wish for them to fail. Hope you guys enjoy the video!

Bro this is a mentally tough and physical league. If he sucks he sucks-stats don’t lie. He hardly cares to improve. There’s plenty of young talent well deserving of his spot at the moment. He would be an ace on practice squad.

Last time I checked he signed up for this league. Saying that every game is televised this is on him. What do y’all expect? If he was J.Jefferson we’d be talking about how great he is. Downside of things he’s NOT. I’m not in to kicking a man while he’s down, but he’s not entertaining nor is he improving.

As an Eagles fan there’s many things you are missing from this video.
1.) He showed to training camp over weight his rookie year
2.) This season he showed up to training camp and was unable to pass a conditioning test
3.) His best friend died at the start of this season
4.) He actually ran a 4.47 40 at the combine
5.) Nick sirannni has used him
In many ways jet sweeps, slants, deep balls, but he no explosiveness and lacks the ability to create separation and is lazy when running routes.

These are the type of guys you draft in the 3rd round back Reagor reminded me of that Penn St WR that came out the same year. Neither were top 5 WRs and I would barely say top 10.
Eagles had a clear day one starter with Jefferson. 6'2 200lb 4.4 speed, can play inside or outside,, elite route runner, elite quickness, played in an NFL offense, and had 2 great years of college production on a national championship winning team. Jalen Reagor didn’t run a 4.2 at the combine. He ran a 4.47. He reportedly ran a hand timed 4.2 at a pro day later, but those times are often suspect.
Death threats are obviously wrong, but wanting a player cut who is under performed (which is putting it lightly), is just acknowledging that there are better players than him out there right now who could fill this spot.
I’ll also mention while he gets too much hate, he isn’t exactly handling it well either, as he threaten a fan on IG for comments early in the year.
You may be right and he may be successful elsewhere, and while I expect him on the roster for 2022, I don’t expect anything to change at this point. To mean it’s clear he’s behind Smith and Watkins, and it’s also clear the Eagles need to upgrade. Reagor is going to need to swallow some pride and become a core special reader like Whiteside if he wants to get anytime next year.

I am 41 years old and a lifelong Eagles fan. I was excited when we drafted Jalen...almost as excited as when we drafted Devonta Smith last year, but from what I'm seeing out of this team the problem is with scheme, and QB play more than anything else. We don't have an above average pocket QB like a Rodgers or a Brady, or even a Burrow, Allen or Mahomes who can extend plays, go through their progressions and find an open receiver. We have a scrambling QB with tunnel vision, who very rarely gets through 2 WR progressions before his head is down and he's running for his life. Hurts has had some big time moments, but I just don't see him being capable of leading any team to a championship. Look at what happened in Tampa Bay. They went in there thinking they could continue this run first scheme against a defense that has proven their ability to stop the run. Was anyone surprised when it didn't work??? That game more than anything shows exactly what happens to 1 dimensional teams, and maybe...just maybe...if Reagor was on a team with a passing game capable of getting the ball to their WRs on a consistent basis, maybe he wouldn't look so lackadaisical. Maybe he would be motivated to step up his game, and then people would see what he's actually capable of. The Eagles did him a disservice drafting him, and I sincerely hope the same thing doesn't happen to Devonta, because if anyone on the Eagles should be an absolute superstar, it's him! If the Eagles had drafted Justin Jefferson instead of Reagor, we might be saying the same thing about him right now, and maybe Reagor would be tearing it up in Minnesota. The problem is with how the organization utilizes their receivers, and who they put behind center, period.

    • @diglo123

Yes hurts is dog shit at spreading the ball but reagor is a uninspiring, lazy receiver who got disgustingly over drafted. Nothing can excuse his play last year. Love having him on the Vikes and think he will breakout immediately with an accurate QB and pass friendly offence. Eagles fan here, I have seen time and time again picking the wrong receiver in the draft, JJAW over DK Metcalf and Reagor over Jefferson, and I think the hate isn't necessarily all on Reagor but just the frustration of continuing to draft the "bust" before a good one (hoping DeVonta continues his success from his rookie year). I believe we do need to cut our losses with Reagor, with his performance and confidence level now playing for a fan base like us he won't get it back, it's in his and our best interest for him to get a fresh start somewhere else, he won't be that #1 receiver somewhere but he could definitely be a solid slot guy in the right offense and he limits his dropped passes. But again I think his time in Philly needs to be done

Thielen is fantastic but gets injured a tad too much from his desire to catch everything thrown his way - and throwing his body into harm’s way. I absolutely love this take as an eagles fan im often ashamed of how other fans of the team and the sport in general treat players and while I was not a big fan of the choice to draft reagor over Jefferson its done you can't change the past the raw talent that reagor offers is unmatched and even if he never reaches his potential or becomes a true #1 receiver he can be a playmaker and a key piece of a good offense for years to come i cant wait to see what the eagles look like next year with another year of Jalen hurts developing and gaining chemistry with not only reagor but davonta Smith who has looked amazing and quez Watkins who has looked good aswell

Death threats or threats to harm should NEVER happen because of a players play. But asking him to be cut or traded is fine. Don’t be soft. These are professional athletes and if they aren’t doing what they are paid to do correctly, then the criticism and blame they get is warranted. Cool story, but doesn’t change the fact that he sucks in the NFL and needs to be out of Philly.

Scott Fisher, if you're seeing this then thank you I've been a fan of yours for a while since you were introduced on Harris highlights and love your videos. Here's my take on the situation, when you picked in a first round before other players that were better than you, there's going to be constantly backlash when you don't live up to the hype. I don't get the hate and criticism why these athletes go through the same thing. But that sometimes the Dark Side of sports you have individuals will try to demean, demolish and overall try to destroy a person's self-esteem because they didn't live up to the hype and expectations you set upon them. On onehand we should commend Jalen Rerger for not only helping his family, but overall being an example for his community in Texas. But the other, Unfortunately, sometimes in sports we have people that will try to destroy you, but you either not let it get to you or overall crumble. I hope Jalen does better and people understand that he's a human, but this is going to be like this for the rest of time.
P.S.: it's Philadelphia fans, do what you expected the most toxic fanbase of all the fan bases in sports.

Your point about his confidence is certainty true, but I think a lot of times he’s just trying too hard to make something happen. We saw the same thing later in his career at TCU between drops and muffed punts. He has all the ability in the world. I just think he needs to hit the reset button. I agree a fresh start would do him a lot of good. Just look at what happened to Nelson Agholor after he left Philly, and I think Reagor has way more natural talent than him.

Good video. Reagor has had plenty of opportunity in philly to shine. More then he should have since the bust of his confidence. He should have been pulled last year after the 2 drops that cost the eagles the game against the giants. 2 deep passes flopped.he should have been pulled for a couple weeks. Sell it however the eagles needed to. Injury what ever . He needed time to recover from everything. The fans the field himself. He needs to take a step back remember what got him to where he is. That's what hasn't happened with him he is open all the time. Just keep dropping balls. Why the mental game for him is not there. He made it about showing people this and that. When he should have just been happy he was blessed to be an NFL player and go out have fun like he has through out his entire career until now.i like Jalen. I think he could still turn it around and be a great slot receiver. Or start some where else and start over. Like you said a fresh start. He has the potential. No doubt about it. I hope the best for him. I really hope brown can turn Jalen around. I wod have liked to see Julio Jones come in and mentor all the guys for a couple years. That would have been nice. Then getting brown blew me out the water. Best of luck to reagor.

They have to give up on him or Devonta and Quez will continue to be bottlenecked by him having plays built for him.

To act like he cant be a 1k receiver is delusional, he could've had 1k this year alone if hurts had hit him on deep balls, and i like hurts. The dude had 2 wide open 50 plus yard touchdowns missed in the bucs game alone. Dude creates crazy separation, just watch his film, there's a reason philly fans have been clambering for him to get more targets all year
