Not enough evidence to prove, sometimes they wait for something that will win the case. Many cases don’t make it to trial and suspects are walking around because the DA feels there isn’t enough to prosecute. If they do, and jury finds not guilty because it’s not proven beyond a reasonable doubt, the murderer cannot be tried again even if evidence turns up

I really dislike the use of ‘bawls’ in the headline - maybe it’s different in the USA but here in Australia it’s generally used in a pejorative sense for histrionic crying that’s fake or exaggerated. Just reads very disrespectfully.
    EDIT:
OK, having thought about it: us Aussies don’t always use ‘bawl’ in a derogatory sense, but it’s only ever used very colloquially (you might say about a friend ‘poor thing she was bawling her eyes out’) but people also use it sneeringly when someone overacts. In any case - seeing it in used in a title jolted me. But I accept there are regional differences. ✌️

For those that don’t understand the questioning, anyone from Dyersburg who’s been following this case from the beginning does. The questions about the Dog are because they need to establish the blood was from their dog and the bleach used to clean up Karen’s blood was for a Dog who was poisoned. This family is lying about so many things to cover for David. I feel horrid for Karen that this entire family would rather cover for her killer than stand for their mother. NOBODY from this area believes the killer is anyone other than the man on trial. We believed it the day Karen went missing. I knew Karen and she was scared to death of this man. Do not allow the defense nonsense to cloud your reality. She was scared of him, she was divorcing him, he was the last to see her alive, she was found very close to home. Just tonight on social media the DA’s wife was talking crazy. There was a reason the jury was hung. The prosecution didn’t prove he was guilty and I believe it’s because the evidence just isn’t there.

I feel bad for her, but her and her brothers testimony should be discarded. Both are clearly swaying testimony to benefit their father. They can’t remember anything when it would benefit justice for their mother but remember everything to benefit their father. He had years to manipulate them and watching the brothers testimony it’s clear the father put images of the Sales in his mind, the man walking. David Killed Karen from the looks of it. I lived close to the Bonas and everyone believed it the day she went missing. I feel for the kids however David is an absolute monster for having these kids take the stand and slander her name / play into the rumors of her being a run around to cover for her killer. I just would not do it no matter who the killer was, father or not. Both of his kids have been manipulated many people here believe it. And I’m sorry but his 8/9 year old daughter would not remember some of the things she claims. I really don’t understand why the jury is allowed to be manipulated with this.

    • @Monica_Escobar

Not necessarily disgusting, you have to understand her perspective. She has already lost her mother traumatically and is all she has left is her father. It mostly comes natural to want to save your only surviving parent. It’s unfortunate, but it’s more of a survival tactic stemming from traumatic emotions and deep denial. Not necessarily her fault and doesn’t make her a bad person. Just a thought💕
