여인들의 손끝마음...
1945년 해방 전후로 유행한 근대 십자수를 우연히 접하게 되었고,
10년 동안 1000점 이상 수집해왔습니다.
자수를 찾으러 다니며 옛날 물건들을
많이 접하게 되었고
아름다움에도 빠지게 되어서
3년 전부터 민속품 관련된 일을 하고 있습니다.
저는 40대 중반이라 그 시절 추억이 없지만
많은 분들께 이야기를 들으면서 제가 대신 수집한 추억들을 공유하고
느낀 점과 소소한 에피소드들도 들려드릴게요.
자수에는 한글, 전통적인 길상 문자,외국 선교사들이 전파했기에
영어 등다양한 언어가 사용되었습니다.
변변한 옷장이나 이불장도 없이 어려웠던 그 시절
이불이나 옷을 가리고 먼지를 막는 용도로 사용했던
횃댓보와 다양한 종류의 소품들이 있었습니다.
