i know that feeling too! mine used to play sniper elite on ps2 every day after dinner. really special moments with all the laughs, gameplay and talks. sometimes i feel like i took those for granted.
I find it ironic that the prince is not considered to be as extremely strong as he seems to be with all his acrobatic maneuvers. This guy consistently displays feats of superhuman strength, endurance and agility and no one bats an eye. I guess running 10 metres accross a wall while performing chain 4 metre wall jumps with flawless execution was standard fare back in Persia.
Glad I wasn't the only one wondering this while watching. The prince must be spending hours upon hours at the gym to get that kind of skill and fitness
This game is a great case for art design over graphics. If the game was going for total photo-realism like a lot of games it would look terrible today, instead it goes for a somewhat more cartoonish look like an early dreamworks film and it still holds up.
It was the best for sure, longer with more intricate parkour, a perfect soundtrack and the best free form combat of it's time with so much possibilities...

I think the chemistry between the prince and farrah is the best part of the game. Seems like they have this youthful attraction to eachother that develops so quickly yet they both have a stuckup royalty ego. Surely they'd be around 17 or 18 years old.
Apparently on an old Prince of Persia website, the Prince and Farah were 20 and 18 years old during The Sands of Time, making them 27 and 25 by The Two Thrones.

I have a special attachment with this part this part had everything entertainment,comedy,action,parkour,romance and time travel. One of the best games in the world

You're a good player but please let me give you some tips if you are interested. The red enemies are vulnerable to vault attack. Blue soldiers(invulnerable to vault attack) are vulnerable in the wall rebound jump attack. Please make the full use of not only the moves but the environment also. For example, you cracked the wall near the entrance of the hall of learning at the first place. You should've used the wall for a wall rebound jump attack and retrieve for the blue guards who are invulnerable to the vault attacks. And red guards are weak but dangerous. Don't strike them down and then retrieve. Vault, do the first strike(Left mouse button) and then press E to retrieve.
Me, for me is all Trio PoP Sands of Time, Warrior Within and Two Thrones, all 3 of them are Masterpiece of Legendary PoP games in my life like 3 Egyptian Gods in Yugioh (Ra, Osiris and Obelisk), i hope all 3 of them will be remade in future

There is the secret road at the center near the "Daybreak", push the Rotatable Crank in 3 times, then break the wall that you'll see the secret door opened, the way you will go inside the Original PoP1 easter egg had named is "A Long Buried Secret"

The Warrior Within was my favourite part of the trilogy. The dark gritty feeling, the combat and the soundtrack were all up to mark.

Me, for me is all Trio PoP Sands of Time, Warrior Within and Two Thrones, all 3 of them are Masterpiece of Legendary PoP games in my life like 3 Egyptian Gods in Yugioh (Ra, Osiris and Obelisk), i hope all 3 of them will be remade in future
And too bad.... The secret level has file save name is "A Long-buried Secret" before "Above the Bath" is not Exclusivly here in PC, only be in PS2 as long as you break the wall and unlock the "Prince of Persia 1 (classic 1989)" in Extra features

Jordan Mechner created the original game actually, Ubisoft had the rights to make the games starting with sands of time
beauty of newer hardware and horsepower that allows us to go back and play these retro games beyond the max settings! From 480i 4:3 days to the 4k 16:9 days. Feels like an upscale and remaster without being a "remaster" down memory lane.
Imagine beating this game and when you play again you start with the maximum life you got and when you get the dagger it has its upgrades
Oh you mean like new game+ which we have in other games like spiderman so when you complete the game you can replay it however you have all the advantages unlocked already

You might already know but he used some mods to make the game look more Full screen which I appreciate that he did that. I mean I prefer this with a Controller but still.
One of my best games ever. Looking for Farah when she ran to some pool was one of my toughest moments as an 8 year old lol. (fighting the infinite zombies in the elevator too was crazy!

At Ubisoft Forward in June 2024, Ubisoft announced that the remake will release in 2026 under the original title Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
this was my first game I have beaten thank you for uploading the memories. TwT can't wait for the remake! :)
We need games like this. A good story and no nonsense side quests or collectibles or whatever just a straightforward story. I think that’s why this game as old as it is is a favourite of so many gamers

The only game at the time that where "Mistakes were made" turned into "What mistakes?" I loved watching my brother play the game with I was younger, and he would sometimes let me try a few levels. Hard, but still a great oldschool.

There is the secret road at the center near the "Daybreak", push the Rotatable Crank in 3 times, then break the wall that you'll see the secret door opened, the way you will go inside the Original PoP1 easter egg had named is "A Long Buried Secret"

What a game man I have finally beaten all 4 prince of Persia games started from warrior within to forgotten sands modded my cube to finish two thrones or rival swords yes I even beat the Wii port and now sands of time what a series thx btw homie big help

I used to sit on my brothers bed and watch him play this. This game brings a lot of memories back

The hardest part is you cant googling it or there is no walkthrough like this at that moment, so it tooks me 1 month to discovering how that can be finished lmao
whenever you get in front of a door, if you hear the sound of water droplets falling, that's the right door.
in alternative, you can do as I did when I was 12 years old and memorize every single correct door, since they are always the same xD

Loved the story. Enjoyed the game. This was such a unique game play-the dagger, acrobatics and the puzzles. Wonderful memories of playing this.
