Jan. 17, 2018 was the last picture of snow I had here in mid-Ga. LOLOLOL. Snow shovels aren't hot sellers down here. Really, snow removable anything.

I hope Georgia is treating you well these days. I get it, Wwe don’t have much need for air conditioners up here.

    Hi Rebekah and Brian
    Nice video !!
The work on an acreage will never get completed !
Especially with a forest around you and wanting to do a fair bit of heating with wood !
I have a 18 ft fiberglass starcraft boat 175 hp it gets us around nicely and is big enough for the lakes that we go on !!
A suggestion on covering your boat !!!
Considering ...from what i could see or Rather not see ...the 2×4s on the windshield...some Americans call them windscreens ! LOL
You don't have them supported to the floor !!!
With the angle of the windshield it doesn't have a lot of strength !
With the amount of wet snow that you get you may be doing windshield work in spring !!
Maybe make an effort to clear the snow off as it comes !!
The plane that flew over ...was that about as big as they get at your place ??
Maybe it was kinda like a Dash 8 ???😊
    I enjoy your videos !
    Have a good day 😊

Hey Ken, So glad you’re enjoying our antics. I did support the center post to the floor, just probably didn’t document that as well. It’s always a balance of filming the experience of our activities and making a “how to” video. Sometimes I miss the mark. The boat is parked down in the valley for the winter so getting down to it to brush off the snow might be an issue. I’ll keep it in mind as the winter progresses. I don’t know much about planes short of the fact that the tundra tires make it hard for them to take off so we really head those motors working. We really do appreciate your watching and your feedback.

That dog is bred to type. He is fine. He is a herding dog. You fail him when you do not train him.

Thanks Riversbend, trust me, she’s not very good at typing. She is a herding dog but we don’t own any sheep so she has to herd us, the tractor, chickens and on one occasional the neighbor or kids.

Hello, Some VERY HELPFUL Hints for TARPS, Boats, Decks, Chickens, etc. FIRST OFF ( NEVER EVER ( F O R G E T ) *WINTERS* are Like FARTS in the WIND.. Mother Nature and Father TIME ( DO NOT ) Care one bit the amount of effort taken or Left behind. Carpet Craps, Runners, Padding over every possible Corner , edge will help to ease the Stress on TARPS and What is NOT considered ( AVERAGE ) life spans of only a few months come springs major disappointments. YOUR Dog Looks to be a Border Collie ( MAYBE ) ? All those (I) Known are Eager to SERVE. High Strung for sure. In the Mix whether it be with other animals or Human Creatures alike. BE glad or then ALSO MAD at yourself for knowing they too are watching out after you. CHAIN SAWS are like the wicked witch of the east meeting south and west and north all at once. a Slip here, a trip there Fingers, Toes, Legs and Arms of others have been taken off in less then a Blink of Wink of ashes and Pollen alike. DRONES ?? Crashes are way more common ten operating them without ever having a single problem. EGGS ( FOOD ) Freezing ( ETC ) Best to be PREPARED - A L W A Y S ....Like the Boy Scout motto from our own youth. The Saying holds a Lifetime of Wisdom and Knowledge combined. As for the DECK ? GOOD GOD MAN ( YOU are missing about a dozen other NEEDED Supports from one end to the other for sure. CONSTRUCTION Methods do vary some - depending. 8 foot spans with 4x4 posts elevated over 10 feet high or greater still ?? BAD Bad bad ! ! ! SERIOUSLY , Woulf NOT be surprised if this winter was its Down fall - finally. 6x6 ( 8x8 ) Hell 12 x 12 Would make a Whole lot more *C E N T S * Given ALASKA is this God Forsaken place being made. That Sled you drag around ?!?!?! USE some Un-Common (COMMON ) Sence. The Bottom no matter what material its made of. My own version got used mostly on snow and still almost wore a hole right through it during one wingers seasons of regular usage ! ! ! ! As for everything else ?? Tree trimming / cutting ( KEEP ) the Chian out of the dirt, away from rocks Never Cut directly on the ground. Even a 2 x 4 x 8 used as a LEVER could SAVE YOU endless replacements or sharpening's at the very least - for sure still. ALWAYS ( R E M E M B E R ) To NEVER EVER FORGET
Its the SECONDS in Every ( MINUTE ) not about the Destination or possible Journey before or after - Yet to be DETERMINED !!!
The VOICE of REASON has Spoken
    Listen to me now ?
Or Be Shocked come the day when Snow and ice has ripped apart much of what you are taking for Granted Yesterday ( Today ) tomorrow - as well.
    Your Welcome in ADVANCE
    Oh By the Way
ADVICE like Comments and Interactions of ALL kinds
    MEANT to HELP Not ( P L E H )
its the Crystal ball of hindsight
    coming back Full Circle
Like the 20/20 which was supposed to be a 50/50 balance
Never reaches 100% of the GOAL
Yet always will Fall short no matter how tall any person is
    here on
    earth
    or with there head
    up in the clouds

Yes, we've got plans to shore up the deck. Planning to use the helical piles ....If you look at the week that "The Shop Is Sinking" you'll see the plan. The boat needs all new interior that we'll get to next spring but I do like the carpet on the corners idea. Thanks for the advice!
