Never thought I’d see the day where my favorite archetype, Enchantress, makes it into standard as a viable option and not just commander and highlander!
I saw you play against this deck in your Theros preview, I'm happy to see you piloting it. Seasons of Growth is an amazing card, I'm happy to see it playable in more than just Feather
Just recently found this channel, I really love the MTG Arena content. This kind of stuff is definitely much appreciated since I'm new to MTG. I can't wait to play this game for myself, I just hope they put it on more platforms to play like on console and mobile.
@Charles White "Creatures" entering the battlefield or dying don't cause abilities to trigger. So enchantments entering the battlefield does cause abilities to trigger, right? (Except for the enchantment creatures OFC) And, yes, it does shut off Bronzehide Lions dying effect. But I have yet to ever use that.
It's nice to see someone playing Selesnya Auras. It's been winning a lot of games for me and I haven't seen anyone else playing it. I'm surprised you're not main decking the Archon of Sun's Grace. It's another great win con that has been out performing the Champion for me on many occasions.
Another card you can use to help with mana is Smothering Tithe. It's an enchantment and everytime your opponent draws they either pay 2 mana or you get a treasure token that you can sac for mana. I just built a mono white enchantment deck and it works wonders in it. Awesome video!
Mogwai just wanted to say thank you. I was able to finally hit mythic rank using a deck that you made. Tweaked it a bit to my taste but still mainly inspired by your build. Love your content and videos.
I've been loving Selesnya Enchantments since Theros launched. I have a budget version of this that's doing well! Im using paradise druid and vigilance enchants to keep her hexproof.
I tried this in mono white, added good old ginger brute since it buffs all that glitters, and having an unblockable dude with protection against removal is just gross :D

The most slick way to win the first one would have been giving the champion protection from white and just attack. I would not see a spectral sailor in the opposing deck. But this is the fun of this deck you have so many tools fooling around because the way you played it works out completly fine as well. I play a more midrangy version with Calix, Banishing light and the pegasus with lifelink. Just so much fun with the enchantments with theros.
I had seen this deck somewhere else, and since i managed to pull 4 champions from the events decided to give it a go. Its super fun whenever it goes off. Ive had some interesting rage quits.

I run a similar deck with shadowspear (for trample, lifelink and to remove indestructible) and eidolon of obstruction (for aggro, the first strike can buy quite a bit of time) - I've had pretty good success.
Hey Mogwai, the deck tech is cewl, but you know that we cannot read any of the cards on the left side of the screen because you're in front of them. so 5 minutes of explaining them is kinda wasted. but the rest was really fun!
I haven't played Standard in ages, but I might actually build this deck. It seems to be decently powerful while also being somewhat of a budget option. Plus I love enchantments, so...
I actually played a kinda similar deck at pre-release. Obviously it was a hell of a lot worse than a standard version, but it seemed pretty powerful. Calix helped a little with that I guess.
@@jamestrevelyan1268 of course you dont want them to target your creatures, but they are going to do that either way. So why not get a card as compensation when they do?
muffZor89 Because there are much better cards in pioneer than Shapers Sanctuary for this deck? This is an aggro deck, you don’t want to be putting four slots towards a non-aura enchantment if it’s not going to *reliably* draw you cards - for example Season of Growth scrys with each creature, triggers constellation, and draws a card for each 1 mana aura you cast, which could be a ridiculous amount every turn. Shapers Sanctuary on the other hand triggers constellation, and draws you one card if they target your creature, and then your creature is dead - unless you use your resources to keep it alive, which if you’re playing season of growth will draw you a card anyway if that protection is Karametra’s Blessing.
Haven't tried this archetype and wasn't playing close enough attention to the way the games played out, but maybe Dryad of the Ilysian Grove could help you hit those land drops to go off.
I played the deck 6-7 times last night and I'd tend to agree. It needs another card advantage engine, as the games I lost were due to my Setesen Champion / Season of Growth being discarded by Thought Erasure or the new black one. Likely only a 2-of though since hes not an enchantment himself. Might be better maindeck in place of the Lion, since the lion isn't really that great and you hitting all your mana drops is how you beat aggro.
Been playing this deck and absolutely smashing people. It's a really good deck that's not too expensive to make too! Love seeing people just concede when they see a 20/20+ champion with trample, vigilance, hexproof, indestructible. Had a 17/16 alseid because i had no choice, and the lifegain hahahahahahahhaha
I think that in Sideboard any W deck should play Hushbringer, 'cause loooots of decks that I see with this new expansion always plays cards that active their effects while entering the battlefield
I play it mainboard with ww lifegain + The god....it wrecks mono black, sacrifice and this. Just gotta protect it. I use the new 1/1 and unbreakable formation.
in a world where there are countless spot removals being played and boardwipes and G/W not having much recursive cards other than loaming shaman and brought back (which is btw not conducive to selesnya colored enchant decks since it costs WW) I prefer putting paradise druid there for the hexproof and ersatz mana dork...just add that 1 cost enchant from the new set that gives vigilance and you're good to go...just my 50 drachmas...
How could you see this working with Naya feather? That seems like the natural evolution of this deck. Tenth district, feather, season of growth. This would be nasty.
The issue there is that Feather wants you to be casting combat tricks in Instant form, whereas this deck wants permanent auras to trigger constellation.
so like i got all my cards on arena from my packs and i built this deck all by myself and thought i was so smart and original also i run the dryad guy that lets you play an extra land, hes an enchantment, and you can get stupid ramp, play dryad, trigger champion, draw a card, its a land play it tap it,1 mana aura, draw a card its dryad, play it, rinse repeat until outta mana and now you have like 12 lands and he has 8. wait a turn play ur whole entire deck on one turn
I don't know about this deck. Played 6 games. 3 were against black, heavy creature removal decks. 1 was against a all grn deck that prevented combat dmg 3 straight rounds and the other 2 was against wht/blk decks. I beat both wht/blk decks easily. Won one of the 3 all black decks and that grn deck beat me because I ripped through my library while building up 3 40+/40+ bombs with trample. They just prevented the damage. It's an incredibly effective deck but has some serious weak points. 3-3 out of 6.
I would like to know your opinion on “brought back” in a deck like this. At worst it saves your best creature at best it saves two cards maybe with some ETB effects.
After playing this deck about 6-7 times last night I'd say the biggest challenge for it is when your Setesen Champion or Season of Growth gets discarded by Thought Erasure or the new black and 1 card and you're sitting there with all these terrible enchantments and 1-power guys. The removal didnt seem like a big problem, honestly. You have eight answers already for removal (corngasm and Karameias Blessing)
I played against this deck last night with my WW lifegain deck and the guy gave his super enchanted creature pro-white, removing the enchantments. Heh...
Going to parrot slightly what Merchant said in his version of this (which overall was a worse deck mind you) that Angelic Blessing is a better choice than All That Glitters because it cantrips and grants evasion to your threats. Yeah having a huge fatty is awesome but that doesn't help if your creature can't get the damage through. Been trying to put my own Selesnya enchantment aggro build together but MTGPro keeps conking out on me every time I try to add both Setessan Champion and Starfield Mystic - I don't know why but it causes the site to break and then I can't search or add any more cards like wtf... And I'm not a big fan of Aetherhub.
Can you make a feather red white traditional boros. My buddy really liked your take on it and is just getting back for deployment and there doesnt seem ti be any current feather list. Please help your fans derek and Kyle

I played season of growth in wicker wolf fight with trail of crumbs grindy deck in gruul. Which was surprisingly goood against the meta.

Hushbringer destroys both the Gary and the UGR elementals decks. Pretty nice.

i am a champion of the selesnya guide. and i can say that either auras or tokens are the best play styles for the guild

I fought this nearly exact deck! Beat it by using hydra form and got up to a 2k/2k creature with Sorin in play and healing up to 4k!
I am playing something similar with Beloved Princess - a nice unblockable attacker with lifelink!

Maybe a couple of Dryads of Ilysian Grove? That would let you drop more land down when you're going off.

Just put dryad to Double the mana drop rate. This deck is pure gas and need to deploy the mana fast. Druyd is the best way.

Love the idea of that deck, but I'm exclusively getting bad starting hands and draws with it. :/ Eiter no lands, only lands, or only enchantments.^^
I guess its also bad against most real aggro decks...
