Haven’t been to Sydney, and haven’t done Leviathan or Storm, but here’s my list: 1. DC Rivals 2. Superman Escape 3. Steel Taipan 4. Abyss 5. Green Lantern
Even though it is gone my favorite will forever be Arkham Asylum (previously the Lethal Weapon), it could give you whiplash but it was AMAZING. I'm still mad they're replacing it with the Wizard of Oz precinct GIVE ME THRILL RIDES
I completely agree with your top 2. DC Rivals is phenomenal and was my number 1 for so long buy that helix really is a bummer on an otherwise amazing ride. Leviathan completely blew my freaking mind! The fact they finally gave us a quality modern woodie and it was this just makes me feel so grateful. I cannot speak highly enough about Leviathan and I want more coasters to this standard in Australia. Also pleased to report that Leviathan is still very smooth, they actually run annual maintenance 4 times a year on Leviathan which is a crazy amount but if it keeps her well loved I am happy. Glad you enjoyed our parks!
I very much think it’s a good list. Here is my current list: 1. DC Rivals 2. Superman Escape 3. Steel Taipan 4. Green Lantern 5. Storm Coaster (That’s all the coasters I’ve done that are actually noteworthy:/) DC Rivals needs no introduction. I’m not sure if you ride it on a bad day or not since the footage looks quite windy but it’s your opinion so I respect it. Haven’t ridden Leviathan yet but it looks amazing. Very good video👍
As someone who lives in Perth, I get why you wouldn't travel, given that the only major coaster we have is a Gerstlauer Eurofighter (the only other roller coaster we have is a standard Zamperla Gravity 80STD). It also makes me delve into my thoughts, thinking that if I had a bottomless pit of money, I'd use the funds to build a theme park in Perth akin to something like Phantasialand regarding theming and attractions. Hell, I'd even put a Vekoma next-gen Flying Coaster there, as well as any coaster by B&M, cause Australia doesn't have any B&M as of when I'm writing this.
How dare you rank Motor Coaster above The Scenic Railway 😋 TSR used to be quite a bit faster, but going back 30 years now. The S-bend and drop over the station used to be the best bit and had some great airtime, as did the 3 hill with the tunnel. Keep up the great work with the videos. Really enjoy your channel. 👍👍👍
Love to see you guys ranking the greatest coasters in my country and that the gems in my home parks scored high on your list! I also loved how it was both Taylor and Sarah ranking the rides together. To be honest though, if you guys end up riding Superman Escape one day, I reckon it might actually be your favourite in the country (Superman's probably a tie with DC Rivals for me). Leviathan has unfortunately gotten a lot rougher. My top 10 list: 1. DC Rivals Hypercoaster 2. Superman Escape 3. Jet Rescue 4. Steel Taipan 5. Green Lantern 6. Leviathan 7. Storm Coaster 8. Gold Coaster 9. Road Runner 10. Motocoaster (I have not ridden Scooby Doo)
the fact by the end of the year this list will be missing Superman, Scooby, Flash, Flight of the Wicked Witch, Kansas Twister, Jungle Rush, Big Red Boat (😭) + Steel Taipan spinning + parks you didn’t visit’s coasters is crazy.
im visiting my friend in Australia this summer and we're gonna go on most of these! we just kinda wanna go to the cities theyre at but we're coaster enthusiasts too so we thought wed get some rides on
I have heard from Australian friends that leviathan has started getting rough. Not painful, but they were surprised that it was already rough after just a year.
I think a ride like Leviathan (made entirely out of their pre-cut track) would be an amazing fit for Thorpe Park and would be perfect on the island behind The Swarm where they wouldn't have a huge space to work with and they also really badly need another coaster with no inversions and a lower height requirement
You probably would have rated highly Wild Mouse at Luna Park Sydney had it been operating, or even THERE during your visit. Hoping the restoration keeps the thrilling aspects of this beloved coaster's layout, and makes it easier to maintain.
I’m an Aussie and I went on dc rivals when I was 8 and I got so scared but going back to it soon and excited, you shoulda definitely put the Superman coaster which is also at movie world in your top 10 cos like the storm coaster it has a really cool theme and it’s so fast but anyways I love movie world and hope you come back to try the new flash ride!❤
Hey, have you ever thought about a systemised rating system that includes multiple criteria? Much like Doug DeMuro's "Doug" score. Rate each rollercoaster on: || Smoothness || Unpredicatability || Marathon comfort || Harness comfort || Acessibility || Theming || Motion sickness rating || Peak season accessibility (how many times you can ride in a day) || Off-season accessibility || On-park accommodation || Family friendliness || Views from rides || Cleanliness of the park || etc. You've done this in reviews... but not systematically across ALL coasters you've ridden... at least on TH-cam.
Great video guys. A couple of things. You failed to mention the Wild Mouse coaster at LPS which is down for serious retracking. Given it’s one of only 3 wooden Wild Mouse left it’s a very important ride. Plus it rocks!! It would definitely make your top 10. Also Big Dipper Red Train has had new wheels installed from Intamin and the ride is noticeably smoother experience. Thanks for the video!! Great job
@@Josh_Stuchbery I rode it this past Saturday. I've ridden it every couple of weeks since opening. Not as smooth as week 1, but wouldn't call it rough especially compared to wooden coasters I have ridden overseas. The front of the train is definitely 'smoother' than the back for anyone wanting a less intense ride.
Incredible video. I will have to go to Australia someday because it looks beautiful 🤩 and dc rivals and leviathan both look amazing. Especially the backwards seats. If Hyperion could do the backwards seat it would be insane. If not that also a spinning seat would also be amazing. It is very unlikely but it would still be awesome. Can you and Sarah do a ranking of the floorless coasters

I agree, except I'd put dingo racer at 9 instead of moto coaster, as I find a reverchon gen 2 spinning wild mouse way ahead of motocoaster, which is in my top 10 worst coasters of all time, and is nowhere near any top 10 for me. So exact same list except Dingo instead of moto.

That's all very well, but nobody has asked the fundamental question: are Australian coasters just a giant inversion?
Yes it's true. And every Australian coaster helix goes counter-clockwise.
Does that mean when they do inversions they’re actually uninverting?
