I am closing in on 58 and I have listened to so many artists and had so many favorites, but no artist has come close to Mark Knopfler, after all the great music, he is and will be my all time favorite musician til my last day...

Good for you. I am closing in on 62, and my first exposure to Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits was in 1979 when "Sultan's of Swing" hit America. I was a senior in high school, and the clean, lean stratocaster leads and licks just cut through the disco crap and noise of the day. Fell in love with his sound and lyrics, and have been a follower ever since.
@@greenwich1754 Sultans of swing was my first taste of Mark Knopfler, and back when I was a kid ,when you heard a certain song for the first time , it was like magic, it still rocks today, got to see him do it a couple times and it's still magic..Cheers Marty..

I used to think my daughter's voice came from Heaven but I was wrong. Seeing your baby with her own baby & singing those same songs is the real voice from Heaven. It's all so scary when you bring them home I think I was too afraid I would break her, it's easy to miss so much
But seeing her with her son perhaps just as scared but pushing though it is a satisfying relation of the circle of life and as it should be. This song reminded me of that feeling as I watched them listening to voices from Heaven & remembering where I was so long ago
