Bwah ha ha !!! State of the "white part of the union" maybe. The disconnect from reality is complete with this ole Keith. Wrapping himself in the flag the Trump republicans disgrace on a daily basis. When's the next Klan circle jerk "Whitey" ?
@@darrylmurray2261 And now who's the racist? Nothing new though. Been that way for years. Gotta hand it to you left wingers though, masterful job of playing the victims so long that ya got the libtards carrying your water and drinking the cool aid.
It's great to see you back Keith. You look like you're in better spirits. Looking forward to more videos. The pledge of allegiance alone is worth watching your videos. God, country, guns and liberty for all.
Nice to see you're back and well.. Hydrated lime, slaked lime and Calcium Hydroxide are all different names for the same thing, here in the UK we buy it from a builders merchant, about $5 for 55lbs.. Take care, look after yourself..
Learned that trick from an old machinist that served his apprenticeship under ground for St Joe Mine/ Doe Run Co. now. Works every time I‘be used it. Glad to see you back.
Your videos are of such high quality, get impatient with most other machinist’s before long. Especially like the attention to detail, the running commentary and wow, that super slo-mo. Outstanding!!!
A gentle reminder old boy, your Mic stays with you, even outside blowing off the part. Usually I see the old air hose and block the volume, but you caught me napping, literally with ear phones in. That makes one hell've an alarm. Looking great, I'm happy for you. Ok so there's some greed there that I just wanted to see more of your videos!
It’s good to have you back, Keith. I hope that things will go well for you. I am not a machinist, but I found your channel several years ago and enjoy the precise detail work that you do. I am sure that quite a few younger folks learn and apply, and many others just enjoy the exercise of those fine skills that you display.
So glad to see you are back, I've been waiting! You & Mr Pete were the very first machinists I started watching on YT & still watch to this day. Like someone else said, it's gonna be tough for me to get used to your new shop being so used to your old one over all these years. But change is good & I'm excited for you. Thanks!
Love your channel.. I figured out how to get the best finish on brake rotors at work.. when they asked me how, I tell them I've watched Keith and his shafts for countless hours. Lol. Thanks for the good stuff.
Thanks for the explanation below on lime, I'll have to keep that in mind, I'll add that to the toolbox with dry wood ash and save the sand for big cast parts. Every alternative way and rationale you give, each one a handy tool and sometimes a new/better/faster or fits the circumstances as way to do things. Thanks!!
He mentioned in the other "latest" video, that it is an issue with getting a single point connection installed on the building. His installation has been put on hold until that is resolved.
Believe it. He has Eversource. Eversource is NOT a good electric company. I have another name for them. Figure it out. Keith, Keep calling the clearing desk until the idiots show up
Keith, I think the lime has a low thermal heat transfer which allows the slow cooling, something the old timers figured out, and it keeps oxygen away from the hot steel, limiting the scale build up. The one thing I always find with my electric heat treat furnace is scale build up. To where you wrap in a stainless foil with some small piece of wood match to consume the oxygen, or a no scale coating you brush on, that sorta works.
Sharing a thought from another comment, good too see your videos again. Gets me away from thinking about this garbage we are exposed to every day. Another great video from a patriotic AMERICAN. GOOD JOB KEITH!!!! GET ER DONE
And when I was thinking the slow motion on my IPhone is pretty cool you throw out your slow motion. Great to see your getting back in the groove. I have been there and set backs suck, but life goes on. You were one of my inspirations for starting my channel. Thanks for sharing Keith. Gary
This whole series is going to be fascinating. I haven't seen you do a weld build since the one that got me to view you. Then you are going to forge it, I haven't seen that at all.
That is so strange at about 10min 50sec! The chuck is going one way, then the long spline backwards, then the shaft is in agreement with the chuck and the spline being machined is going backwards again! Neat how the diameters and frame rate lead to an optical confusion.
glad to see you again, this type of machining is very tough on machinery, everytime I do something like that, I'm sure that my lathe needs to be readjusted to can continue machiming consistent diameters and bores that are not tapers.
Workshop looks good and great to see you doing more videos, thanks for sharing, I bet that's frustrating getting used to having to switch a phase converter on every time you go to a machine. I suppose it'll become second nature then you'll get your three phase hooked up. Lol Hope Work's is starting to come in with all that's going on. Regards from UK
Man! Your electric company is on the ball... not! 🤣 Hopefully you’ll get your 3 phase hookup soon. Glad to see you enjoying the new shop. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work! 💪🏻 Cheers!🍻👍🏻😊
Hi Keith, thanks for the video, good to see you back.are we going to see the big red lips for the prop shafts to go through, that used to give me a laugh, lol, or will you just open the door,?.Glad to see Fiona is still smiling down on us lesser mortals. Stay safe mate, look after yourself, looking forward to the next one, Best wishes, Stuart uk.
Nice to see you back, I was beginning to worry that maybe something had happened during the equip. moving and you might have been seriously hurt, how much weight have you lost or this, you look a little thinner. The power companies figure they got you by the short hairs, if you want something out of the ordinary you'll just have to wait until they feel like doing it. Be good, be careful and stay healthy.
Hello Keith, Good to hear you conquered your audio problem from the last video. Very nice. That rod sounds very interesting. Sounds like you could use one of Stan's new larger ovens? Take care. Doug
I did not hear you mention it but I think it would be a good idea to do another heat and slow cool to stress relieve after welding before machining to minimize any distortion that might occur when you do the actual hardening.
Mate so good to see you back , I was missing you vidios.. your new shop looks good so far welcome back from Australia mate .. all the best in the new shop.
Keith, I'd be interested in seeing a video of you dressing and rebuilding the live center when you get your toolpost grinder set up. I have a few at work that could use just that treatment. I've been putting it off and a video would be good to see how a real pro does it.
I feel strange in this new shop. Its weird. I bet that it makes you nervous not being within the middle of the night nude run to the shop angrily brandishing a length of aquamet on potential burglars after all these years. But onwards we must travel regardless. Curious though, maybe you could answer in next vid, why the weld buildup opposed to spray like Abom does? Is that no good for splines? Too weak? Or is it just cause u don’t have the sprayer unit? Glad your back. I had even started growing a beard in memoriam.
I went through a shop move and 3-phase power upgrade last summer. I wasn't happy when the power company said it could take up to 3 months to do the change over with the countdown starting after I signed the contract and paid in full. However, they ended up only taking about 3 weeks, so it wan't too bad. Your power company seems to be taking its time. Maybe Covid-19? It seems to slow everything down. Good luck. Ken
It's great seeing you up and running again. I'm already liking the new shop. At the end of the video, I was wondering to myself what rod you were going to use for that buildup. A couple seconds later you answered that. I'll be interested to see how that goes. Is that Buffy behind you in primer red? Like some others, I have also used vermiculite for that sort of thing. It's popular among blacksmiths. But that hydrated lime looks like it may be an even better option. I'll have to try that. Just another little tip from the hard-earned experience of the old-timers.
God bless you , so glad your back .I am proud to be what I am I hope all you people are proud to be who you are
I missed you man! Glad to have you back and in the new shop.
Hey, thanks!
the slow motion cut was completely badass
Don't know about you guys but the recent Keith videos make me feel a little better about the state of the union
It’s like normal is coming back again. I can feel my stress level dropping..An old friend is back.
Stark difference from the left-wing communist scum that's for sure. Keith is an inspiration to all of us who love this country.
Amen brother.

Big upheaval and big move. Great to see you back!
Really good to have you back. Thanks for staying strong.
Woo-Hoo part 2 ! good to see the new shop in action
Liking this series a lot. Good to have you making videos again.
Hey! great to seeya again. Everything normalized, no stress. Great way to start.
Learned that trick from an old machinist that served his apprenticeship under ground for St Joe Mine/ Doe Run Co. now. Works every time I‘be used it. Glad to see you back.
That's a get'er done Keith! SO good to see you back in action.
Let's make America GREAT again . Love all God's people. Nice job Keith!
God bless
Stay safe
It's a Fenner-fest! Good to see you again here, Mr. Fenner!
Rebuilding the live center could be an interesting video, as this one is.
Great work Keith. Thank you for sharing the lime bucket Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills.
Nice video Keith. Glad you’re set up in your new shop.....Women, don’t need ‘em as long as you’ve got your Bridgeport!!!
Be glad when you get your three phase in, that converter would drive me nuts plus they are so inefficient. Take Care and thanks for the video.
You and me both!
Your videos are of such high quality, get impatient with most other machinist’s before long. Especially like the attention to detail, the running commentary and wow, that super slo-mo. Outstanding!!!

Love the super slo-mo.
Agree
Good to see you are up and running in the new shop! Thanks for the video Keith glad you are well!
Thanks for the video Keith. Good to see chips flying in the new shop.

Really nice job on the timber framing. And the high speed photography of the 3 jaw was neat.
Good to have you back! Looking forward to upcoming videos. 👍
More to come!
Great stroboscopic effect! Glad you are back.
Thanks for the explanation below on lime, I'll have to keep that in mind, I'll add that to the toolbox with dry wood ash and save the sand for big cast parts. Like the new shop. Used to get a little claustrophobic watching your older videos.
Keith, So glad you are back.
Brilliant video keith always a pleasure to watch and learn from a master tradesman
I can't believe the power company still hasn't run the 3 phase yet.
Really. Out here in California they can burn down an entire town faster. OK, that was crude. But really, is George the only guy they have?
He mentioned in the other "latest" video, that it is an issue with getting a single point connection installed on the building. His installation has been put on hold until that is resolved.
it's been months!!! Id be ringing them every day!!!! its the way to get shit done!!!!! they fix it because they get fed up with you ringing!!
Around where I live 400V 3-phase is the norm, even for residential. I don't think you can order 1-phase except for studio apartments.
Believe it. He has Eversource. Eversource is NOT a good electric company. I have another name for them. Figure it out. Keith, Keep calling the clearing desk until the idiots show up
The lighting in the new shop is really good mate.
I'd be happy to hear you rambling about why you don't want to machine irregular steel too.
We are glad you're back. Nice slow mo.🇨🇦
Glad to see that you're back! I didn't get a notification for Part 1, so I'll go back and watch that one.
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice to see you again Keith!
I like the slow motion feature you have added. Very interesting to watch the cutting action. Looking forward to the next installment.
baywatch comes to mind......glad to see you back.

Wating for the weld build up video. Good job.
as always very interesting video! welcome back Keith!
very interesting. God Bless America.
......nice to have a little room to move around.....Good on ya Keith

Great vid Keith, shops looking great cheers
This whole series is going to be fascinating. I haven't seen you do a weld build since the one that got me to view you. Then you are going to forge it, I haven't seen that at all.
Good to see you back Keith and getting back on your feet. Bloody power company need a rocket up their rear. All the best from down under.

The prodigal Machinist , Returns. 👍❤
😁
Great to see the videos again
Love your work, and I never do machinist work. Just a fan of the master
Welcome back I wish you great success my friend.
Great series, Keith. Eager to see the heat-treatment! :-)

Good to see chips being made at the new shop!

You know what's cute? When our preschoolers do the pledge, which they do every morning.
Love the slow motion chips.
Thanks for another lesson was there a specific temp you heated the shaft to or just to a bright orange. Thanks again.
Just went by the color, and hold that color for a few minutes. ;{)

Very Good!
brazilian friend!!!
Im feeling happy for Keith that he's back doing what hes great at.
Glad your back!!
love the new digs
Good to see ya keep the ol chin up man, did a lot to get going again enjoying your chanel,
