@@mo_ops9426 They're heavily modified vive controllers that are weighted, and I don't even know why they're weighted, it's not like you get tickets or anything
When I tried it, there were only really low scores so I just put on the longest song with the most notes ever slapped some modifiers on there and totally obliterated the scores. But the machine decided not to count my high scores. :(
fun fact my first ever time in VR was on a machine just like this. I decided to play Crab Rave and ever since then ive wanted my own head seat. He says its uncomfortable but he really means it. That thing felt like i was securing it to my head with knives and a bowling ball on the very top of my skull. The only way i could get it to sit better was if i was right near the screen which made playing really hard. That being said i really enjoyed the experience. My headset should be here in a few days!
Last i played on one of these machines, it was a very old build of beat saber, if i had to guess, maybe 1.2? There was no camellia, kinda made me sad. You had the four OG extras song, no ost 3 either. The controllers felt weighted, and the headstrap was not adjustable, which was weird, i knew how to adjust a vive pro headstrap, but it simply wouldnt! Still played One Hope and got #1 though

The game was vador immortal and I've played my fair share of it so i'm like," I got this ez game" But there was this kid who played it about 5 times in a row to the point where the machine couldn't even lift the headset' cord up and it was just out of order. After about 30 mins before we left it was back up and running and I took my chance to play, BUT BY GOD those cables are connected to the WORST spots ever. long story short you could barely throw the sabers and looking around felt awkward since it seems that the cables weren't designed to be turned??? besides those issues though it was a blast.
The problem with the “leaderboard” that you get a the same amount of points as some one on easy mode so if you were to go to a easy song and you get all the block at 115 you’ll get a better score then a guy on expert+ trying
But easy has less notes compared to normal hard or expert difficulty increase gives a block increase normally by atleast 100 blocks so actually hitting all blocks on easy will not give more points then normal or hard aslomg as you hit like 90 percent of blocks on the higher difficulty
dude my arcade is like, hugeeeeeeee. They added this beat saber and then this 4 player vr game things. its like a whole room and you can walk in real life. it was a shooter and god it was fun
As a vive user i reccomend turning the controller upside down and putting your index finger through the loop, its called b grip and makes everything so much easier
You describing how awful this machine is reminds me of how bad my OG Quest was back when it was on it’s last legs. The right saber would constantly glitch out, and at one point, mid song, the straps on my headset kind of gave out and I had to hold it up by scrunching up my nose and tilting my head back.
I got second place in my local arcade a few months ago. There's only one base station, the controllers are too heavy, and the headset is so low resolution. I think even the screen in front has a higher resolution than the headset
I think the main issue with those are the things that attach the controllers to the system because the controllers at the arcade are significantly worse than using vive wands without them. Vive wands still suck though

I think the vive wands in this vid have had to many new players smash them together causing the IR reflecter things to shift making them hard to track. As someone who plays on the vive at home, they lock all the best grip spots on these machines making it feel awkward, not to mention the controllers are basically tied to the headset, which for someone with a small head, is pretty annoying. I've gotten the record at my local Main Event, but it's not nearly as nice as playing at home, even if it's still with a vive.
