1:05 "I'd do anything to go back and make it right." I think that was the moment Catra realised the last time she was truly happy was with Adora and just how much she screwed up in that regard; motivating her attempted sacrifice to a fate worse than death and eventual redemption.
This conversation was 1 of the HIGHLIGHTS of this masterpiece of a season 👌 2 people who r in the worst possible situation find comfort in each other, just by lowering their barriers long enough 2 truly hear the other 4 the 1st time. Somehow, against ALL odds - friendship is born 🙌
Saddest thing is Catra at this point really had nothing left in the whole universe except her love for Adora snd her wrongs and feelings were laid bare before her first by Double Trouble then by Prime. She really was on point of no return, moreover she thought that even her feelings were in vain as Adora "hated" her and "didn't want her". Poor stubborn Catra through her jelousy persuaded herself she was worthless because Adora left her - which she didn't want to, she left the Horde and totally wanted Catra with her.
"What about you? What would you be doing if you were back on Etheria?" "I...nothing. There's nothing for me on Etheria." It's so depressing to hear Catra say that there's nothing for her on Etheria. If I remember correctly, the last time she saw Adora was after She-Ra fixed the portal disaster that Catra caused. The last time she saw Adora, she saw a look of pure raw anger that she had never seen before when looking into the eyes of her best friend. Anger that was directed at her. She felt like after the portal incident, every attempt she's ever made to get Adora back had been for nothing and that the person she knew and loved was gone forever. Scorpia left the Horde after Catra told her she was useless and Double Trouble betrayed her and told her that everyone she cared about left her because she drove them away. She truly felt like her life had no meaning because the one thing she fought so hard for was gone. _Thank God she decided to save Adora at the end instead of thinking "it doesn't matter anymore anyway". It was the turning point where she finally got what she longed for. Her best friend and the one she loved most_
It wasn’t exactly a “Happy” meeting though, so the point still stands, Adora was still angry about what Catra did, and likely that conjured memories of that look Adora gave her at the end off the portal episode.
People always say that the best friends squad shouldn’t have forgiven catra quickly but it makes sense. Entrapta already considered catra her friend, adora cared a lot about her, bow is too kind to not forgive her after everything she went through, and catra saved glimmer
To quote a Wise Green Monk “Fear leads to Anger… Anger leads to Hate… Hate… leads to suffering.” Catra is now the Third character I’ve seen go through this arc, and the second to survive it (with some help from Adora), and I can unequivocally say, that each of these three characters are some of my favourite in all of media. Anakin Skywalker Zuko Catra
I just wanna say that in entrapra to me forgave catra to easy, and we never see how her turning her kingdom over to the horde affect the citizens, that’s the problem with the show none of episodes I believe to flush out the kingdoms are the characters. The show should’ve been longer with more episodes in the seasons
I can definitely agree the series needed more episodes in general and could have fleshed out the world and characters more. Though the Entrapta forgiving too easily, at first I kind of agreed but after seeing the series again, it’s not like Entrapta has the high ground. Even considering the fact that Catra convinced Entrapta she was abandoned, Entrapta still clearly was more on the side of science than friendship. Even after the princesses told Entrapta the truth she still wanted to side with those allowing her access to scientific knowledge. And the only reason she made sure the portal wouldn’t destroy everything is because Adora told her it could, and before that was perfectly fine with accepting other risks. Even on Beast Island the only reason she left was for the chance to fly a spaceship. None of this is to negate any of her valid reasons for this mentality like the manipulation, autism, and being raised by robots she made, nor is it to negate her personal progress. But in hindsight I do understand why Entrapta may be more forgiving given how both her and Catra have been blinded by selfishness that result people getting hurt.
Well now you made ME emo
i meannnnnn you had it coming
0:44 i love this
“Adora cant even relax when shes asleep” sooooo catra always slept with adora

We still don't know what they whispered about this day.
I'm guessing . . . 'stomach full of spiders' kind of stuff.
CATRA'S BLUSH THOUGH ❤️❤️
Catras redemption arc was so well writen. It still gives me chills.

They've seen each other after the portal incident, but I like your thinking.

God the 1st time I watched this scene I was a MESS!
Now I’m a mess AGAIN bcuz of the added flashbacks that match PERFECTLY! 😭

No it don’t, the last 3 seaosn ruined the show for me 😢
oh wow. this is amazing. i didn't think this conversation could be improved upon but the flashbacks are a HUGE punch to the gut

Am I the only one who ships Glimmer and Catra? Yes? That's okay
I think they'd make a pretty good ship, especially with all the parallels between them. I don't ship them tho
Hell yeah I do
They would be great together, but not as great like catra with adora
@@ellielee4982 they would be terrible together because they have a very Bad side they need someone nice and carrying like bow and adora
