Glimmer and Angella may have argued with each other a lot in the series, but they really did love each other. I think Angella was a good mother to Glimmer, and I hope that they're reunited in this continuity someday.

Queen Angella is such a beauty and I love her voice especially when she angry. She sweet but knows when to put her foot down when needed. Angella is also a flaw mother because when it comes portraying women who are moms in media. They’re either made to be these all knowing beings who knows all the answers. But in reality being a mom is not *easy* because you made mistakes and be overbearing and that’s ok. It ok that you’re not perfect and if you don’t know all the answers. Angella tries to bond with her daughter and tries to spend time with her
I also love that Angella admits to being a coward in her final scene, right before she, for all intents and purposes, kills herself to save the world (yes, I know the "trapped forever" stuff but let's face it, that's just a nice way of saying that Angella's dead). The film industry is obsessed with pushing their "strong, independent women" bullshit but it seems that only a small minority of people in that industry understand what real strength is. Angella was scared and Adora was right there, willing to do the sacrifice herself. Angella had a get out of jail free card and everything to lose - her life, her daughter, her kingdom and her husband, although she probably doesn't know that Micah's alive (it's possible that she figured it out in the portal reality but there's nothing in the show that supports that theory) - but she chose to kill herself rather than let this teenage girl do it for her. The fact that Angella admitted vulnerability right before doing it also proves that this show, despite having some social justice elements, is nowhere near as obsessed with pushing politics as people pretend it is.
I love how Adora feels awkward to the max during most of these scenes....... I mean everybody can relate to Adora when they are watching one of their friends is getting hit with the pwn-stick by their friend's parents........ I remember one time where I thought I was going to get caught up in the verbal explosion and my friend's mom is like you're okay but I'm going to continue verbally disemboweling your best friend
I wonder what goes through Adora's mind when she sees Angella and GLIMMAH interact. Given the relationship, Adora has with her "mom" I wonder whats her take on it.
Something I like about Glimmer is the little wing markings on her back. In the episode of Glimmers coronation,we get to see a glimpse of Glimmer with full wings. I need to see her with wings again.

That's actually a _really_ good question. I always just assumed they were a part of her body, but they do indeed look kinda magic. Glimmer also has wings but they only showed up in The Coronation as a form of magic. Another thing that could prove Angella's wings are actually magic is that the shape of her wings is slightly inconsistent; in some shots, her wings are short and wide, seen on birds that fly with sustained high speed. In other shots, her wings are significantly longer, with a shape more suited for soaring over water and hot currents of air. So they could very well be some kind of shape-shifting magic. TLDR: idk man
I think they're magic, but they're also an inherent part of her (not from the Moonstone) because they don't disappear when the stone shuts down during the Battle of Brightmoon

I can feel Queen Angella's love for her daughter in every word she says. Even though Glimmer's immaturity and recklessness frequently drive her crazy, her love for her never wavers. Everything she ever did in the series was ultimately for the well-being of her daughter. On the whole, Queen Angella, ruler of Bright Moon and co-founder of the Rebellion, is a very relatable and well-written character.
