Due to a Serious Coal Train derailment in PA, the future was not bright for 4001. But then in 2019, a picture was released of the 4001, sitting in NS's Juniata Locomotive Shops, Freshly Rebuilt! After a few days of testing near Cresson PA, she was ready to pull her first train. A Rock train, Down the Youngstown Line! It caught many people by surprise and by the time we got to Jefferson Ohio, where it was stopped in a siding for the past Day and a Half.

Awesome video super cool to see 4001 up close I was lucky enough to see 4000
Yeah I wanna see 4000 leading 4001 on a train
Can’t stop watching this! What a day that was!!!
I noticed that 4001 has a different font on its number board on the top after being repaired. Great catch and seeing 4001 start up as well.
I love this Loco so much
I caught NS 4001 trailing twice but nothing as good as this this beats all of my trains catches!
Awesome catch!!
Wow, she is beautiful! I gave a thumbs up 23, which just happens to be my lucky number. Lol. nice catch!

+5,000 Foamer Points for the 2 fresh new AC44 rebuilds, and +1,000 more for filming other Railfans 🤣👍
Well 4001 is called the “sonic bonnet” and sonic is a boy lol
Ok Cool. 😎
Did you leave it running?
The locomotive has to start up to make sure the brakes stay applied
Did i see a dent in the radiator section already? Damn.😂
Mabey, Lol
Yah there was a dent probably punks throwing rocks at it or something
People don't treat these things with enough respect
I saw the 4001 too it Suprised me that it was going to astubula not conway or chicago
Yeah!
Correct
Lol yeah what a coincidence
Indeed
Be sure to be careful with the Coronavirus
What horn was equipped?
The Vintage Lover I’m not sure
NS 4001 has a hybrid K5LLA with bells 1L 1 2 3A 4.
I love this locomotive, unfortunately it was actually Renumbered from 4001 to 4000
No it wasnt. 4000 is a completely different locomotive.
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 Well go check out newer videos from like this year. You will see they remembered it
@@sumeetbeniwal6365 I hope you know that 4000 and 4001 are two completely different locomotives right? NS has two blue painted AC44C6Ms
