Lot of good tips in the video, but the most helpful part for me was watching the wave where you did a series of cutbacks. I watched that over and over until I could visualize myself doing it. I've had a mental block on the cutback ever since I started working on it last year, but finally got a couple turns that felt really good. Hoping it carries over to the next session.
Thanks for the reminder/tip about the trailing arm. I tend to over do it and get too aggressive in my cuts 😅. Now i need tips on going from intermediate to advance. That jump seems harder
I have a much easier time doing cutbacks at a point break or reef break. At a beach break, I always feel like there isn't enough steady energy behind the wave to sharply turn like that. Maybe it's just in my head.
Your vids are awesome. You can always find value in surf tutorial vids.
Feel the same!!
Thanks :)

In your head I reckon :) but also depends where you surf
@@KalesBroccoli some of the beach breaks near me are not so great, tbh, but I plan to keep working on my cutbacks there anyway.
you forgot not to be scared of where you came from,,,, :)
Haha took me a second to work out what you were saying!
