I don’t think it’s too much to ask for both a win AND a good performance/attitude for both games! Seems like every player is so anxious and ready to prove their worthiness that I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of them scoring!😂

Good breakdown gents. Really difficult to predict anything with a new manager, the match being a friendly, etc.
For score prediction, I say 2-2. Our defense is a real concern . Very weak center back group. Right side could be suspect and Sculte is playing well but he’s not exactly elite.

I think we will draw 1-1, and it will be a very scrappy game, it’s still so early. I saw some people say it before but Braden your bias affects your takes sometimes, I get that you like Aaronson but there is no way you can see him ahead of Tillman on the long term so why flirt with him maybe starting? I respect your takes and vision that performance is more important than the result but if that’s how we look at this then we should start who has more potential and future with the team. As always, great work.
I feel like I phrased that badly, let me explain. I think we should rotate in the first game to get a look at the backups and save the starters for Mexico, so I’d start Brenden against Panama and Malik against Mexico. Starting them both (one at CAM, one at wing) also works since we have no winger depth in this camp.

I want to see Tillman over Brenden Aaronson, sorry Braden you sound very bias whenever talking about any Union former players.
Thanks for defending us in the comments! Let me rephrase what I meant, I would like to see Brenden tried at the 10 in the Panama game but have Tillman start in the Mexico game because Malik is obviously the better player. I think as many players should be tried in this camp as possible, so some rotation in the first game would be a good idea imo. For example, I also said that I’d like to see Fossey and Lund start against Panama. Starting both Malik and Brenden (one at CAM, one at wing) is also a viable option.

I'd actually prefer to see Tillman start both games at the 10. I think he isn't well integrated with the team for various reasons and I'd like to see him get significant in-game time to help rectify that.
Definitely on board with that. Wouldn’t be mad at Tillman at CAM both games and then starting Brenden on the wing in one, Haji in the other.

The comments so far from the players indicate they had better bring the intensity or we won’t see them again. Guarantee both games will be extremely chippy and the referees horrid which usually equals injuries - holding my breathe! I agree with Aaronson as far as some have been playing too many positions and need to focus on one but with all the injuries this may be hard to do. Would love to see Musah come out of this with more confidence before returning to the toddler games in Milan. Wouldn’t mind seeing Zendejas starting the first game - he needs to get past his brain cramping in the final third. Poch needs to start building depth - who knows who will be available in two years - this team will never be 100% healthy. Hopefully he and his staff can make these guys be the best they can be with some individual attention.
It does look like there’s going to be more pressure on the players to perform in order to keep their spots, which is something we’ve been needing for a while. Hopefully that helps build the depth like you said, since it should lead to more players getting a chance in camp.

I just said that I’d want to see him start as a rotation against Panama to save Tillman for Mexico, either that or start both because the other wing options of Haji/Zendejas aren’t the best. I don’t think that’s too unreasonable, although I think I said it a bit wrong in the video.

I expect wins. BJ and that other guy won with one camp. Marsh did good with one camp. Our only excuse is that we have our B team. B team is as good as Panama and Mexico. No excuses.
