    What I really love about the Russian school in general is the deep attention to detail.
    Most of the time you can see if a dancer was educated in Russia by just watching their hands and other tiny details.
    Lovely demonstration.

    This is so above and beyond any schooling I’ve seen on, cannot even compare to any other professional school, whether it is the Paris opera or the royal. The lines, the secure execution, the fast transition of very difficult movements, the stability. It’s amazing.

    I wondered if Maria Khoreva evolved quality of vaganova's training. Her classmates were pulled up higher by dancing with her every day. Her strength and perfection even changed style of vaganova..

    • @BANGZI55

      @@user-jh7pm7wi9n I see. it's interesting view. Khoreva would appear a bit like passionate Sylvie Guillem....
      I like Khoreva's Raymonda (act3 wedding). Nothing acrobatic, and she controls time, space and stirs my emotion.

    The center and one to the right capture my attention most. Im not sure who anyone is, but I found myself watching the dancer on the right most.
    But she would seemingly make a slight error and my attention flicked to the center for comparison.
    I feel like the center dancer has the most controlled and lithe movements but I have no real eye for any of this.
    Stunning work from all involved regardless. 👏

    How important is musicality in an exam? There are a lot of ballet dancers (in general) who don't follow the music in a ballet class. Do these dancers still pass tests?

    • @vaganovadream1132
      @vaganovadream1132  ปีที่แล้ว +10

      in an exam, musicality is very important, as it is an absolutely essential part of ballet, and being off the music could certainly affect a student’s grade/evaluation negatively. however, for a professional dancer working in a company, they may choose to do the steps at their own pace in company class, which is more accepted.

      It’s called a raked (sloped) floor. It’s because in the Mariinsky, the stage is sloped as well, so that the audience sitting in orchestra can see the entire stage. Since Vaganova has always been affiliated with the Mariinsky, it’s built the same way so students get used to it. It’s mostly in older/historical theaters.
