About Mr. Queen (철인왕후):
A male chef (Shin Hye Sun) has risen up the ranks to find a job cooking for the country’s top politicians in the South Korean presidential residences, the Blue House.
He is something of a dreamer - but one day finds himself in the body of a young queen from Korea’s past, Kim So Yong.
Kim So Yong’s husband is the reigning monarch, King Cheol Jong (Kim Jung Hyun). However, he is only king in name - the late King Sunjo’s Queen, Sun Won (Bae Jong Ok), has taken advantage of Cheol Jong’s better nature, and is ruling the realm in his name.
Queen Sun Won’s brother Kim Jwa Guen (Kim Tae Woo) also has designs on power.
However, Kim So Yong soon discovers that King Cheol Jong harbors secrets, and is not as gentle and meek as he seems…
“Mr. Queen” is a 2020 South Korean period drama series that was directed by Yoon Sung Sik.

Actually, Kim So-Yong had always been this way. It was just that she couldn't express herself due to the rules of the era. Bonghwan sort of gave her a spiritual awakening

I love this drama because it didn't portray the queen as weak ...who will be saved by a king. This drama showed us a badass queen who saved a king
Its really funny that the maids are so used to Mr. Queen swearing that they seem bored with a face saying "yeah, this is the usual" when she swears. Instead its the Queen who is surprised.

I was worried how they will wrap the transfer of his soul from her body but they wrapped it up pretty nicely , the best historical drama ever!!

*LONG COMMENT ALERT*
What I understood from l this drama is that Jang Bong-hwan and the queen has the same personalities but the queen was living very less privileged era for women so she couldn't really express her wishes as daring as Jang Bong-hwan because he is a man and was living in modern era and had guts to do anything he wants. All she needed was a push from him. I do agree that the king and Jang Bong-hwan fell for eachother but also king fell for the queen way before Jang Bong-hwan came into her body if you see the spin off you will understand. And queen never left her body so he simultaneously fell for both of them. I'm sorry if it doesn't make any sense because English is not my first language.
Thank you for your perceptions on this series. I can now watch it with a bit more comfort with a pretty good ending.

Basically the west part of a castle/palace. You got the north side, south side, east side, and west side. It's all one part but different sections. Basically she is isolated to the West side of the palace for the rest of her life. Not able to go anywhere else.
