What happened to DOGDAY?!
Dogday is one of the Smiling Critters from Poppy Playtime Chapter 3: Deep Sleep (created by Mob Entertainment). He’s a giant toy dog who was captured by Catnap and imprisoned in a jail cell… and his legs were tragically ripped off. His design and scene in the game is pretty creepy and insane, so after making our DIY animatronic Catnap, we knew a hanging Dog Day animatronic had to be next.
We started by making some fake walls in the style of theatrical flats to act as his jail cell. His frame was made of steel and powered by pneumatics, thanks to the help of Hallucinations Creations who make amazing pneumatic animatronic mechs for the haunted house industry. We used wire, duct tape, and foam to make the shape of his body and covered the whole thing in shaggy fur. His head was custom 3D modeled and 3D printed. The whole thing was animated with a prop controller from Purgatory Props.
We love how our real life DogDay turned out! He’s an awesome pneumatic prop and he's going to make the perfect companion to our growing collection of custom Halloween animatronics like our Catnap, Huggy Wuggy and Springtrap animatronics. Who do you want to see us make next? And where do we put this giant prop now?!

Okay, the fact that you contacted Mob Entertainment to ask about DogDay's sun pendant on his zipper and they responded saying that it was a little oopsie that it wasn't there during the jail cell scene is absolutely crazy. Other than that, DogDay looks absolutely AMAZING. I would love to be standing next to that animatronic.

A lot of Animatronics Always do this thing with it, hurting or getting torture and stuff like that, and they are still pretty good without a jumpsuit. So it's still pretty good even to people's who don't know poppy playtime
Also...a little fun fact for all of you guys! Fact: The reason Dogday had a belt around his waist was for pressure to keep him from bleeding out. ❤

its insane the amount of EASE you guys had with this compared to CatNap. Very minimal problems along the way, i'll credit the fact that you guys planned every single detail so thoroughly, good job. hope it keeps going smoothly!
Tip: If the head or any part is symmetrical, you can tape one side and just mirror the pattern so you use less tape

The final showcase shots with the smiley critter plush hanging and dropping off from dog day as he thrashes around was so cool, felt like I was watching a live action version of the game!
I love that no matter how complicated some of these builds are getting alot of the steps are still uncomplicated like the patterns and using duct tape.
This one turned put so well! I think it would be super cool if you made a themed haunted house or something. Maybe for Halloween you could make a Poppy Playtime haunted house since you've already made two from the game. Anyway this is now my favorite video by Wicked Makers.

I love how for the mechanical endoskeleton that moves Dogday, it move quite randomly so that makes it look like Dogday is alive and actually trying to break out. Also the sound of the Chains is so cool and realistic.

The way you guys pattern, use foam, head bases, cut the fur from the back, you have all the knowledge and more to make some incredible fursuits. Something with LEDs, moving parts, I feel like you guys could make something no one has before
It's crazy to see how much you guys improve with each project, huggy was ok, catnap was good, but dogday is freaking amazing.
The only things i think could've been done better were his arms, they were a bit too thick, especialy where it connects to the torso and shoulders; and his eyes, they had the same issue as catnap, the eye "holes" were a bit too small and too covered by the fur, making it seem like the eyes were smaller.
