  • It has been a while, and I am glad to be back with this video reflecting the life of one of the greatest Jewish baseball pitchers in history. Ken Holtzman passed away about a month ago. He played with a number of teams, most prominently the Cubs and the A's. And on one fateful day in September 1966, he pitched against Sandy Koufax in a game for the ages. You'll also see some interesting (and rare) memorabilia from Holtzman's career. Two of the items are one-of-a-kind. I hope you enjoy this latest episode of 'In the Big Inning".

Ken Holtzman was such a great pitcher and a key member of the 72-75 Oakland A's that I collect. He will be missed!

Thanks for watching Mike. That's a great era and team to focus on. Sad to see the present state, but it would be impossible to relive those glory years with any roster.
