- Mental Health in Islam with Dr. Rania Awaad
In this heartfelt episode, we sit down with the inspiring Dr. Rania Awaad to have a real conversation about mental health, faith, and the unique challenges faced by women, especially moms.
We dive deep into:
• Tackling mom guilt and learning to prioritize self-care without feeling selfish.
• Overcoming the trap of overthinking and finding peace through faith.
• Navigating the challenges of raising boys in today’s world while instilling strong values and emotional resilience.
• How Islam beautifully addresses mental health and supports women in balancing life, faith, and family.
✨ This episode is for all the women out there-whether you’re a mom, a daughter, or someone seeking understanding and growth.
Let’s break the stigma, embrace growth, and support each other on this journey of faith and well-being.

Dr Rania's voice is so soothing, very motherly and comforting. MashaAllah. Such a wonderful sharing. I love how the smooth the conversation flow, very naturally.
This podcast is so comforting to me. I somehow cried on the first half of the podcast because I really wished that the things that Dr. Rania said were said to me when I was struggling with mental health years ago. I wished someone said that to me. I love how this podcast manage to show how islam views depression, overthinking and guilt differently than how the society views it. This podcast serves justice to how beautiful Islam tackle these issues, and I truly love the things that I learn from this podcast! Although I would really appreciate that this video includes subtitles especially when it comes to the Quran sentences or Hadiths stated. Overall, truly appreciate the hard work that the team did for this youtube channel.
Dr.Rania Awaad is in Malaysia!! She's wonderful mashaAllah

I love this..i have 2 teens at home. What i always say to myself is give them (my kids) chances, give them time to be better day by day..and always pray for them ❤
Love how Dr Rania relates mental health and Islamic view. So beautiful❤
It is not “not doing enough”, it is that you are not doing what your authentic self would like to do. You have to go through it and take it as a blessing to reframe yourself and life
I’m so excited! I’m 23 and am struggling with a lot of mental health issues. I’m the first in my family to take it seriously and start seeking knowledge about it. My priority is finding a good therapist and having her long-term as I go through life and all it’s different stages. I might even study psychology full-time for my own benefit. jazakillah khair for this😊
don't you know that shaitan hates anyone who embarks on the Journey to Allah?😂😂🤣🤣at the start of the Journey is always like that but after sometime the shaitan gives up🤣🤣😂😂and then you start to see the real YOU🤣🤣😊😊😂😂
Scrolling through, i saw the time length of this video and thought i would skip it, but saw the familiar names of the sharifah sisters and decided to listen to the first few minutes. Assalamu alaikum dear sisters, this was a wonderful episode allahumma baarik!! I'm currently sick with a cold and you both made me laugh out loud more than once, may Allah reward you abundantly for that and may He reward you all for the goodness from this episode! Ameen! I loved the sisterly banter so much ❤🥰 allahumma baarik! may Allah SWT preserve you both, shaykha Dr. Rania and your families. Ameen. I'll definitely be sharing with sisters in shaa Allah
May He save our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Syria, Sudan and everywhere. Ameen ameen.
Also, can Dr. Rania or anyone who is aware please give a reference to what she said at around 7:40 that rasulAllah, our beloved SAAW is who Allah created the universe for? I've not come across a reference for a quote like that and would like to know the evidence for it. JazaakumAllahu khayran
09:13 Sometimes it can be that our heart is allready corrupted and damaged by haram things we have been consuming in the past. This might have caused emotion to be turned on low pit, it might have caused tightness and emptiness around the chest. I found that music can be very harmfull to our heart for example, but it can be any other haram act. We need to detox our hearts. And this could take a lot of time and effort. Change doesnt happen over night. Imagine you have been a faithfull music listener for ten years, dont expect your heart to be detoxed after one week praying all sunnan prayers. The haram act should first of all be banned. You have to replace it with an act of worship and force yourself to be steadfast. Lets say you want to make doha prayer a new habit. If you miss a day, make up for it next day and pray 4 rakaat doha instead of two. You have to push yourself but not aim too high otherwise you will most likely give up. Start with eliminating the haram acts, and each year try to add a new good habit to your daily practice. Take your time, but make progress even if it is little. This will allow your heart to revive and you can reach a feeling of intense peace in your heart.
Loveessss your words❤❤❤
You guys opps sorry gals are lit!
💜💖❤️
5:11 I believe the word that Aleya was looking for is "awareness" 😂❤
O like the giggles too😂

Dua for the protection from every evil
The Prophet () used to seek refuge for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لأَمَّةٍ
A'udhu bi kalimatil-lahil- tammati, min kulli shaitanin wa hammah, wa min kulli 'aynin lammah
I seek refuge for you both in the Perfect Words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye.
Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3525
Try discussing the mental health of a caretaker for a bedridden patient for more than 5 yrs. What you learn will blow your mind! We talk about caring for parents will take us to heaven so those who are not willing to just leave the willing party is mostly alone but caretakers are also human in need of enough sleep, outings, relaxing time etc. What's more the married siblings often selfishly leave this task to singles.
May Allah make it easy for whoever is going through this
ha ha.. saripah aliya. pompuan yg aku takkan lupakan pernah memperlekehkan dan mentertawakan aku di section 14,petaling jaya, 20 tahun dahulu, sewaktu aku hanya seorang rider mcdonald
Sh Aleya & Sh Amani speak as if they have been in the Traps (Tests and Trials) of mental health scenarios & issues for so long 😊😊😊😊😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
It all comes back to "Entering Islam Completely" and this requires learning by gaining a deep understanding (not many people can do this) and the correct interpretation and correct application and being so Focused (not many people can do this) - all in all its a challenge and a part of our tests - otherwise how would you have differentiated between Jannah & Duniya?🤣🤣🤣🤣😊😊😂😂so this is the Duniya where you are and when you get to Jannah such that you will be able to differentiate the Two🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
'Baby, this is blessed anxiety' 😂😂
