In this beginners guide tutorial I show you the vanilla options included with the Arma 3 DLC "Spearhead 1944" at launch if you want to play solo offline single player game modes, perhaps by yourself or with and against AI team mates.

Is there anywhere I can find a list of the game modes for this mod so that I can learn what each one is for? I've never played any 'Arma' game, by the way.
The guys who worked on this really outdid themselves. Content? They gave a beautiful map, 30+ new weapons, dozens of vehicles, planes, tanks, half-tracks, clothing and gear... for 2 factions, civilians, and the French resistance.... what do you mean? 😅

I haven't bought this CDLC yet as i haven't been playing A3 in awhile, but it looks really well done.
I wish the DayZ Devs and BI would do the same thing with DayZ, because clearly they've given up development, pass it on to outside teams just like what they did here with Arma and allow others to start releasing content.... because the Devs lack of content for DayZ in the past 2yrs is utterly pathetic.
I just seen today that Scum is getting weapon painting just like we used to have.... just another dagger in the heart watching Scum and Rust dev teams give their players content and feature updates while we get 2 paper masks and a god damn purse 🙄
I'm excited for them to continue updating the CDLC, but rn i feel like it's pretty limited as far as content.
the map is freaking great though. But regardless I can't wait for them to update it. I really like WW2 era and the map alone is worth the money to me. The quality of the stuff they've brought I like. Just needs more content

SOG AI has been recently updated for SPE44!
So thats why people were complaing of frame drops, hopefully they'll optimize it later down or sooner also Thank you for addreing the Poor performance when in multiplayer... @@ScalespeederGaming Well, installed it and the Tab key doesn't do anything. When I roll the mouse wheel down, the last option is to disable SOG AI 🤔
How big is the download please? I live in the sticks and dont have fibre optic and therefore a really slow speed... I've had Arma3 for a few years (had decent internet back then)

@@ChemySh dco does way more harm than good in campaigns. its unplayable in campaigns.
@@Workd05 I've been playing missions and scenarios with it just fine. An issue is it often makes a target exit its marked area, but that's common with all AI mods (less of an issue if youre using LAMBS because LAMBS only kick in when AI is in combat mode, which means by the time LAMBS kick in you're probably close enough to get eyes on him anyway).

Is Coop with just two players even actually possible in ARMA 3 now? My son and I tried about a year ago and I just gave up after not being able to get it working, even with all the port forwarding nonsense.
The most likely issue is that Arma 3 only supports IPV4, while most home routers switched IPV6. Meaning there's no way to natively host a server with your IPV6 address. You could try using a "home network emulator" like Hamachi to simulate a LAN connection via internet, that worked for me in the past. :)
I think you've got to rent a remote server.

Those are usually private owned servers. we will have to wait and see if code4 makes one.

If the SOG:PF DLC sets the standard then this doesn't meet the mark as there is very little content.

@Cluckstopper I played it when it released completed the campaign online w friends, same with spearhead (worth noting u can host n complete the spearhead campaign solo w ai if u want can't do that w sog even now without mods) both are great, sogpf costs more too so its a lil unfair to compare one which costs more n has 2 years of updates to make it amazing with a very good initial release
@@chriswaters443 yeah I love sogpf but I didn’t play until last month but from what I heard a lot has been added since release. I’m a solo player so that’s good to know too. SOG AI saved my ass with sogpf

@@sergio_grez Dude, ArmA isnt an competitive game like fortnite, CS GO or Call of Duty.
ArmA its a realistic milsim that the main core of the series its combined ops with humans vs AI. Majority of servers testify that.
If you want fast paced pvp just switch games, because the main appeal of this game isnt "git gud". Poeple play ArmA to join a server after work and join other human squads to play combined operations ( usually takes multiple hours long ) against AI and liberate the map.
AI on veteran can be more unpredictable than real players.

@@panzerrjcb Dude, the thing is that NOT everyone wants ultra fast paced games like you mentioned, not everyone likes those games where everything is so fast that seems like the soldiers are flying and reload at the speed of light. Believe it or not there are people who likes more realistic game where you have to walk big maps and fight carefully for the objective and not get shot Rambo style. I play Arma 3 KOTH and we have lot's of fun mixing tactics in platoons agains REAL people that do the same. Ai at in this times we live are not even close to the unpredictability of real human beings. Ask me in about 10 years and we'll see, but for now the pleasure to play against real people in a game where you can walk like a real person and not like fkng Usain Bolt is all I need.
