  • Can't hear your car signal clicker? Leaving your flasher on for blocks? Can't hear your turn signal? Have high frequency hearing loss? This is a bare bones easy fix that will make your flasher signal volume LOUDER. Done on a 2017 Toyota 86 .

You can make a slingshot shaped wood spacer with square side "forks" out of a wooden door shim 6 mm thick. It goes around the raised center mount of the relay for the silicone piece. Slide the wooden piece in and then make two narrower shims to pull on the seated dash silicone piece and metal dash hole. The dash deck now has a sounding board with the wooden pieces transmitting sound to the bottom of the deck dash. The silicone is sort of a spring to pull the relay and wooden spacer tight up against the metal deck. Louder.
A wooden piece 1/2 inch thick or slightly less by 11/16 inch by 14.5 inches long can be pushed between the relay cover left side and the dash thick support beam to the left. The strut bottoms on firewall insulation and has a slight downward slope. It sticks out by the steering wheel cover and the D-panel and is friction fit in there. Louder yet but not as safe. A quarter inch diameter dowel rod 14.5 inches long works but is placed on the top of the relay cover (really up sidedown). It fits between the D-panal and steering wheel cover.
No warranty implied or given. Not government approved either. I use both ways cuz the dowel will help avoid too much strain on the silicone piece by the side shims above or in the heat of the Summer.
