By taking these medications in the evening, you can ensure that you have an adequate amount of medicine available when it is most needed.
It hasn't. What you should be asking if why this drug HASN'T been withdrawn. This whitewash of a review did not mention it but Simvastatin increases the risk of diabetes and can CAUSE peripheral neuropathy, cramps and muscle damage. Furthermore, it has NOT been shown to reduce the statistical risk of heart attacks in people with no history of heart problems. This was proved only for patients who already had heart attacks - it reduced the chance of another one.
@@stephenphillips4984this is a class effect ,more over simvastatin is safest among the statins ,a specially simvastatin is well prephered in primary prevention of cv events.

I have been taking simvastatin for 20 years and no problems

DRINKING ATORVASTATIN CAUSES ME TO HAVE INSOMNIA!

Very well written Stephen. All true! The drug companies and bought consultants make too much money from this drug.
