MM will forever remind me of driving with the windows down thru the open mountains of British Columbia.... This band just resonates at like core level... Its pure etheric, ambient, and fluid bliss.
This was the band that got me through college. I'd take late night drives when the stress was getting to be too much for me, windows down, sky full of stars, just me and MM driving down to the lake to think.
That's exactly what MM does for me; I tend to get mixed up in my own thoughts, so every time I feel that happening I just put this record on and everything melts away. I don't know what it is, but these guys have managed to make the most calming music on the planet. I miss them so much it hurts sometimes.
Desperately wish Gregory would return to performing. I never got to see Moving Mountains live; a reality made harder every time they released new music, as they only went from strength to strength.

Yeah, I have the CD for it too. That's probably my favorite album they've done thus far. When I saw them live before they were signed they were touring on their Forward EP and the show was just incredible. But I'd say Ode We Bury Ourselves is their greatest track.
It has a touch of all their sounds. Should be good. I believe growth is a part of their musical journey and they continue to do so. Pneuma would be the best direction to revisit however, it's their best cd I think.
SoySauce HairDye They have some backing tracks that were most likely made with guitars and definitely many layered effects such as delay, probably multiple reverbs, and something to sustain the note. Could even be a synth tone. They are actually playing the more organic guitar tones in these videos. It's pretty hard to recreate the effect live. Can't really make it sound as wide.

This band is far from ordinary. They touch on so many great sounds from the mid to late 90's being a guy in his mid 30's this is perfect
