Very pretty, especially if you take a children on November 14, the India's children's day. In Poland we also have a railway of this type, called Maltanka (after Lake Malta) and it's located in Poznań. Additionally, every station is named after an animated TV series character, e.g. "Balbinka", after the goose from 1960's animated series.
Oh wow, you've come to chennai, I live there and the train museum there has been a big part of my childhood, have you seen the inside displays? Theres a whole model train track layout with the history of indian railways
Hey! If you are from Chennai, could you ask a friend or measure the rail gauge? I think it's 381 mm, but not sure, and there aren't any information about this.
@@ivanxy996 I really am not sure, also I've moved away from there recently. The rail guage was about the width of a medium sized suitcase, that's all I could come up with.
I was taken on the Dymchurch/Hythe railway some 76 years ago and more recently have taken my grandsons on the miniature railway at Wicksteed Park in Kettering several times, which has been running since 1931.
It was out of my imagination that you wold ride that train!🫨 You also have one such railway museum just beside Howrah Railway Station (opp. side of River Hoogly or the opp. banks of Kolkata.)
In Vienna/ Austria, we have such a small seize train in the area of "Prater" with 4 stops on a round. There are Diesel and sometimes Steam engines uesed. During wintertime is no service. I also believe there still might be a second line in the "Donau Park" near the large "Donauturm" tower.
There are several in Northern California that I used to take my son to. One is in Napa, called TrainTown and another is in the Oakland/Berkeley hills with miniature steam engines. There is also a full size steam train that does a loop in East Bay
Similar toy train can be found in Delhi national railway museum. I have tried that while visiting the museum in the capital of India. And there was another train in the Kanheri national park in Mumbai but it was more bigger yellow train that reminded me of “le petit train jaune” of Pyrénées.😊
@@NonstopEurotrip Until there is an accident. 😱 Pardon me for being anal, but I am a retired railroad man who has seen too many fatalities at railroad crossings so I am all about safety first___specially where children are concerned. The unsafe behavior I've witness on India’s railways makes me wanna holler.
Always love a miniature railway. Remember as a child going on the Scarborough North Bay Railway. The RH&D too - like most people. Used to go to Battersea Park a lot when I was young, the track was still there for the old miniature railway but it had been closed a while. Think that began my interest in disused railways...
out of Indian actual "miniature"* railways (rather than Narrow Gauge "Toy-trains" which form fairly regular private lines) the cutest is probably the Elephant-Island railway in Mumbai.... as for miniature railways I rode, there are probably quite a few more than I can count... but certainly some of my favorites would be the "Botchan-Resshya" in Matsuyama-Ehime, Shikoku, Japan, Isle of Mull "Craignure Duart & Torsay Railway" now sadly defunct, the Xin-Tau-Mai garden railway in Xin-Mien just outside of Taipei, The Youth Railway in Czeskie Budziejowice, the Kharkov Scouts Railway (before that got annihilated by Putin's bombs ) and probably the Ashton Court Ridable Model Railway in Avon-county Bristol.... this is if you exclude funicular style vehicles... if not, The Asukayama Escargo (Tokyo), the Takao Mountain Railway & the Mitake-San Mountain Train will surely grace that list.
Some may laugh, but that's not a toy train. It's *very* narrow gauge, but trains like that have been used extensively around the world! Please do more museum and curiosity stuff. Maybe add more steam! 😉
Please try Konkan railway in india.. it's so beautiful that you are going to fall in love with it.. you can even travel in Northeast india and Rajasthan 😅there is so much to travel in india that i can't tell you more to do... But Konkan railway is most recommended..
We have taken a toy train ride here in my city of Mangalore. Besides that we taken the one in Bangalore and also one in Madikeri in Coorg. The last one when we went there last with our kids, the train operator said he would start after getting the minimum number of passengers. That didn't happen to be much, and the tickets were really cheap, so we bought the minimum and took that ride. Glad we did since it doesn't exist today. Here's the video by someone of the train in my city. th-cam.com/video/XYX9vK47DV8/w-d-xo.html

Don’t you think you need to show the map you’re from and heading plus the top speed of the train ? It’s cute btw🥰
I did debate it 😂😂😂
And with no toilet check up it's unacceptable🤣
😄😄😄

The Wuhlheide Parkeisenbahn in Berlin is a lovely little railway, which is actually being used for public transport on weekends.

Pune used to have same called fulrani. Flower queen. Retired more than two decades back I think. Ride distance was much lesser. Just an oval trip

Nice video mate, If you are still here in India, then don't forget to take ride in Vande Bharat Express.

@@NonstopEurotrip desperately waiting fr videos 😌
The museum and the train remind me of Travel Town at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, where my father took me many times when I was growing up.
That's sounds really cool John 😁

What a surprise! Hopefully you can document your trips to as many railway museums, or anything railway related for that matter.
Maybe not seeing how poor the video is performing 😂
Like Maltanka in Poznań, Poland, but in Poznań locos (class Wls40/50), and cars are nunbered.

The gate arm stayed up while train passed over crossing. Even at that slow speed small children - out of hand - could get hurt.
It was just for show

I don’t think you’ve tried the Pamban Bridge line. Please take a look and see if maybe you want to cover that.
The Romney. Hythe. and Dymchurch Railway, 7 and 1-inch gauge that runs 14 miles.
