You for sure need to add DO NOT FEED THE SQUIRRELS signs, as that’s a huge problem in national parks, you could even add an info sign on or next to that bulletin board
I think it would be cool if you did a natural Cougar habitat, since the Cougar is native to the Pacific Northwest. You could do a big dense forest with an abandoned mine in the back of the habitat as a shelter for the Cougars.
I also had the experience recently of "Wow, I'm actually really pleased with what I built!" And then made the mistake of looking at things other people made. It's hard not to compare yourself to others... But I definitely think this park is overall your best Planet Zoo creation so far. When I compare this to something like Blackrock Park... You've come such a long way with your building skills! And I'm glad you're enjoying this build (despite the ridiculous amount of rock-work). I do think your enjoyment shines through, too, in all the work you're doing. The time is really paying off. I am so impressed by the skills you've developed and the time you've dedicated to this build. And wow, that last climb up to the radio tower looks fantastic! Below are some comments/suggestions that came up while I was watching--mostly reminders of things you can do in PZ in case you've forgotten and find any of it useful. But that's all totally up to you. Oh and there's the wall clump. (Wow this got long, I guess I have many thoughts tonight--sorry! I'm just very excited about this park and all the possibilities.) 13:20 I know the radio tower is built already, but in future you could consider placing a mud pillar at the center of builds like this -- it makes rotating things SO MUCH easier because you can make just ¼ of the structure, and copy and rotate it around. But the method you figured out works too! 17:30 Humans for scale: trap a staff member on a single piece of path, or get the "angry archer" item off the workshop, which is scaled to be human height. Plus it's entertaining. 22:25 BestInSlot go back and fix that clump sticking out of the wall! (This is me reminding you to remind yourself later, haha) 24:20 Also a reminder, in case you forgot: It is possible to change the color of the doors/windows on staff facilities, if you do want to make them look more uniform. 25:40 Ah yes, a flaming torch, perfectly fitting the Firewatch theme XD (sorry that's just me being snarky) 29:00 For parts of the park (like trails) it might make sense to have "carry in, carry out" signs for rubbish 31:50 Something else that you can often find on top of mountains and things are U.S. Geologic Survey benchmark plaques. No idea how you'd make one in PZ though... Something else that would probably be easier is using a screenshot of the horizon to make one of those signs where it labels the different mountain peaks you can see from that vista point. Anyway I'm just really loving this park build, it's so much fun to watch it come together, and I'm excited to see where it ends up.
I’m liking it. Is there a way to incorporate “wild” animals in the nature settings, like White-tailed deer, or some other native mammals/birds/reptiles/amphibians to provide some surprise/movement and pull the guests along through the nature areas? It would be fun to see some moving along the trail. Or around your fisherman’s cabin or something if there is an invisible fence you can use to keep them contained and not terrorizing your “guests”.
Thinking about the national park nearest me (which is very marshy and not this lovely forest), they have a couple dedicated areas for folks to pitch tents and camp out. You could do something like that if you wanted.
Even if you don't finish it THANK YOU for your builds and uploading it and giving us something to watch and to try it in our own zoos. I think you are a GREAT builder, and your content is awesome. Some of the builds I have loved in the past is the caved and spooky builds and underwater ones they are amazing the temple one omg crazy good dude! You are very talented. But yeah, if you finish its alright and if you dont its alright. Such is life and it is VERY time consuming, and you probably have other priorities as well so don't sweat it BIS
I really love how this is developing, it's beautiful~ The tower must've been a nightmare, but it looks great! 23:29 For anyone else who wanted to pause and read the made-up facts. Paul, no! And more "facts" here 29:23! Both the trails look so pretty, I loved exploring them on the mini tour~ Looking forward to next episode!
I know it's not in the pack but mountain lions and maybe timber wolves would fit perfectly in this build with the national park theme you've got going on
Here is an idea! have "wild" animals in the park. Like some bears, maybe wolves, some deer for sure, moose, cougar, lynx, otters, beavers! Could really add a layer of realism to the park! Not in habitats, just roaming sections of the park. Like territories. I think it would be very fun and a treat to see while walking around
It's a nice idea, whilst you can't build invisible fences in a classic way I could maybe rig part of the trail to make it looook like they're wild. I'll give that a go, thanks to both of you!
@@BestInSlotGaming Perhaps disguising cliffs and overlooks that drop down into "habitats"? Or even just seeing animals in the distance, like moose chilling on one side of the lake? Would def have to be sneaky about it. I did find another plant zoo park for possible inspiration, though it doesn't have the wild aspect it does have killer foliage work! Also could you make an arrow to put on the trail signs, is that a doable thing so you dont have to use these -> --- th-cam.com/video/2T0PnWW4lN0/w-d-xo.html
The park is amazing! I would really love if there actually was a bigfoot somewhere lurking deep within the forest, but thats just a little thing that i think could be cool
This is exactly the kind of stuff I love and want to see from this build! I've always loved the more cryptid-focused content on the channel, and idk if you have already but have you considered playing some cryptid-themed games i.e. finding bigfoot? It's understandable if they're not your thing (I'm aware many of them aren't that great), but they feel like a good fit for the channel
I had a similar idea for a bigfoot trail for my zoo. I found a nice audio file from Washington state, and stabilized footage from the PGF. I put the image of Patty at the end of the trail overlooking an ape enclosure.
How could you possibly say that there is too much rocks? Your BestinSlot, the biggest fan of rocks in any game ever Honestly though, this is probably the best looking park you’ve ever made
Alright how is this only now showing up on my radar? This looks so cool, not to mention the underlying story. Bigfoot just hugged those visitors a bit to tightly, hes lonely and doesnt know his own strength.
How about for the oryx's ( if you want) you could do an abandoned ranch just outside the town and the reason it's abandoned is because the soil there is arid and infertile and that way it also matches the oryx's natural habitat?
Looking at the area and scenery think you need pretty much all the the animals from the north America pack, will fit really well. Along with the timber wolf. How about doing a old abandoned town / street like blacksmiths, general store which is now a tourist reconstruction area. Teach guests about the area before the industry collapsed.
Slot my man a little suggestion for the bear habitat,i think because its your favorite thing in the world, making habitats centered around Ghosts and spooky stuff 😁 maybe for the Bear habitat you can make it themed around Ghosts, the habitat or part of it would be for the Spirit Bear or Ghost Bear. The Spirit Bear is a subspecies of the Black Bear and lives in the Pacific Northwest in BC,Canada. I dont know if that is available in the game but maybe you can add the Polar bear as a replacament for the Spirit Bear. Looking forward for the videos. As for other animal suggestions the Cougar and the Sea Lion would fit perfectly in the Pacific Northwest theme.
Your builds are so Amazing and impressive ! I struggle making one simple entry point and exibit animal house x) maybe one day I could do something like that x)
Amazing! I admire your eye for and attention to details. I do love to play Planet Zoo myself, but I'm afraid although my zoos may be efficient, they are in no way pretty ... I just don't have the patience for it. I might get into it again some time, if I ever get over my current Rimworld addiction ... 😉 Thumbs up and a sub from me my friend 👍
Love your builds 😍But definitely do not make them faster. They are already a bit too fast for my liking 😵💫 I know they are not dlc relevant or anything, but I feel the Dall sheep would fit in perfectly, on the highest peak, with snow and a lot of rock. Your terrain and nature is spot as usual 👌 👏
Did us see my idea for the dilophosoraus enclosure with the destroyd vieuwing platform from dominion and yes do you think that its a good idea pls like if u think its good and comment if its bad pls and thank you
i'm just listening to this episode because i cannot watch this speedbuild. it's nauseatingly fast imo, don't know if it's just me, but nope. nope nope nope. i'd rather take a two hour episode than watch this. i thought about slowing it down, but the voice distortion is just as bad, so nope on that aswell. i'm sure the build is amazing and i'll see it in the real time portion, but just a bit of feedback for the future.
You for sure need to add DO NOT FEED THE SQUIRRELS signs, as that’s a huge problem in national parks, you could even add an info sign on or next to that bulletin board
Yes, I'm watching this haha! Thank you so much for the kind words and your builds are also great. It's a pleasure watching you build 😉

"Inspired by Dark Souls" is not what I expected to hear about a Planet Zoo build haha. Lovely work!

Oryx have huge antenna like horns. They can be utilised for improving radio signals.... right? 🤔
Love the builds :D

That’s a really good idea. It could even be a failed exotic ranch that was previously used for hunting.
Looking at the area and scenery think you need pretty much all the the animals from the north America pack, will fit really well. Along with the timber wolf.

and in a abandoned part of the mining town can be some animals like the arctic fox cougars and the wolf
This is freaking beautiful
oh and the Scimitar-Horned Oryx can be in the hunting area
Someone needs to mod bigfoot into the game
and maybe a abandoned hunting field with the prong horns the prairie dogs and the bison.
This park looks amazing
and a more mountains area with raindeers and the mountain goats
maybe a mineshaft to exhibit some smaller species? Like spiders and stuff
maybe their can be a Dominion amber mine style exhibit with the american alligator
Your builds are so Amazing and impressive ! I struggle making one simple entry point and exibit animal house x) maybe one day I could do something like that x)
How about the old fishing town, in the water place seals or sea otters
and near the water can be a beach with grey seals
I lived near glacier national park most of those town started as lumber towns so Maybe you add a lumber yard? Edit maybe grizzly bear
and a marsh with otters and the beavers and maybe a moose so you know a multi species enclosure
I love planet zoo
